It means you’re all out…of luck getting anyone else to bite or give you money.

Depends on the situation. With Wilson, Beck laid out how next year is going to go for QBs and Whitt told Wilson he could try the portal and come back if the grass wasn’t greener (under the new terms) Bernard as another example had reasons to try to find another home (TT toxicity) and knew he could come back. For Calhoun and others, the door was shut and we went shopping. Anyone who is coming back after entering is OK with the staff and should be ‘all in’

It means nobody offered you more. Wilson got a wake up call that it wasn’t just Ute fans that noticed his flaws. Definition of all in = $$. All in until someone offers more then all out.

Bernard entered the portal, came back, and was all in. I would say it depends on the individual but success may be less than the first time through guys.

For what it’s worth, Issac had already gotten a few offers (including from TDS), but felt comfortable with the new offense under Beck and how he fits in moving forward. He has quite a bit of potential so I’m happy he chose to return. IMO this gives him a chance to learn and develop on a more normal trajectory vs. what he was forced to deal with last year.

He certainly locked up mentally at times but he also showed flashes of why he was a highly rated recruit. I for one would like to see the progress he can make with a RS year learning and developing properly.

The plan of learning behind Rising was the goal. It derailed and in a bad way. Lots of malding and debate over that which ended in Ludwig leaving.
I have heard the offers didn’t exceed expectations. That he would have landed at a similar situation or worst.
If it is true what you are saying I think this is a good sign of maturity.

thanks! Are those locker room rumors true? it is just hard for me to imagine a small freshman like him being a prick in front of all the Polynesian lineman we have lol

Yeah…plenty of on and off the field conflict this year that frankly went too far but those guys are mostly gone.

I can remember everyone absolutely “hating” a true freshman named Eric Weddle because he was so damn c**ky. Rubbed the veterans the wrong way in major fashion but of course that turned out just fine!

I’d rather have a player who believes in his ability vs. one that doesn’t. The game has a way of teaching humility to those who need it anyway.

I can’t look down on anyone for testing the waters as much as I’d like to. In my career I’m often preached to about loyalty but personal experience and numbers will tell you that loyalty is for idiots, and poor ones at that. If it rings hollow for me I’d be a hypocrite to begrudge anyone else for doing something similar.

Beck evidently sees a future system fit with IW. KW seems to be letting Beck do his job, good sign. Need to lock down Wayshawn Parker.
