That’s probably why he decommitted
I thought that too, but we only have one receiver committed as of right now so that’s not tons of competition.
There are 3-4 WRs that we have a chance at before signing day. So I would bet on at least 1 more for this class.
Due to the free year of eligibility and not many seniors in the room anyway, I dont think the Utes will lose many receivers after this year. Theres probably not room for him and they more than likely told him that so he can start looking for another school.
We actually have a couple. Velltray Jefferson is listed as an athlete – played LB and WR in HS. He’s got good speed for his size and great hands. It is very possible that he will have a shot at WR at Utah.
I have been anxious for more WR commits. Cope is an upgrade over Nathan, taller and better offer list, but I would like to see another WR. Still Cope is a very good thing.
Good to see potential X reciever recruits. Y and Z recievers are a dime a dozen to recruit and that is what Nathan was. The Utes were really stymied by Thompson’s injury at the end of last season because he is the only true X on the roster currently. Solo has the frame but doesn’t seem to have the release yet.
Pushed us up to the #29 recruiting class. .87 for Cope, vs .85 for Nathan.
I saw on twitter that by average recruit ranking the Utes are top 25
Yes. Utes are #22 for average recruit ranking!
Fourth in the Pac-12 in avg recruit ranking after UO, USC, and UW.
Cal comes in at #5 in ranking. How do they pull these great classes all the time? I don’t get it. They certainly do less with more.
Any chance you guys still have the link? I tried to search and couldn’t find it?
