Great! I only heard about this guy today on the Blockcast podcast. He should be a great depth piece and looks to have the size/talent to make some plays for us this year.

I sure hope his lack of production at his last spot was due to injury or some other non-football reason, because his production thus far is not inspiring confidence. Nice to have another guy I guess.

Bruh you gotta stop with the negativity.

I don’t see this as negativity. It’s just the reality. Do you honestly think I’m wrong? He was at VT for two years and had a total of 128 yards. The next year, in a muuuuuch lower division of football, he had 285 yards. His YPC was quite good at around 6, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll do that here.

It’s just like someone else (I forget who) said in another recent threat. The best predictor of future success is past performance. Like I said, it’s nice to have another guy, but I’m not expecting much out of someone who didn’t touch the ball much at either of his previous 2 schools.

If that was because of injury, and not ability, then great, we are getting a good player if healthy.

I essentially restated everything I said in my initial comment. How is any of that negative? I’m not whining. I’m not predicting doom and gloom. I’m just interpreting what I see on paper.

You choose to view the world as argumentative. It’s a very negative outlook.

Being positive or being negative doesn’t make someone more right or more wrong.

You’re simply negative. You can be positive, correct and real.

I mean after the last two seasons you can’t fault anyone being realistic instead of being overly optimistic.

One man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. Maybe he becomes the next Tavion Thomas (minus the psychological issues), or maybe he just has a cup of coffee with the Utes. I will say the fact that he transferred so late in the game and was available to Utah definitely means that all of the traditional football powers passed on the guy.

He’s coming in as a depth piece nothing more. At best he’s Utah’s Short yardage back at 210lbs

But I’m sorry you’re so bummed that Jeremiyah Love Notre Dame RB and top returning RB in CFB in 25 didn’t decide to transfer to Utah to be RB5

Are you this negative in every aspect of your life?

Maybe reevaluate your priorities or just get over yourself.

who said I was bummed? I said it was nice to have another guy, which is essentially what you said.

I could say the same thing about you and your priorities. Who’s priorities are more messed up, the guy who chooses to point out possible downsides to of things that happen to a sports team, or the guy who feels the need to blow that guys posts out of proportion every time something is posted? I’ll admit this is a waste of time, and yet, I still indulge. At best, what you are doing is no better.

Utah still has questionable talent depth behind Wayshawn Parker, so it’s perfectly valid to have concerns, especially since Utah loves to run on offense under Whitt.

Is that not a valid concern?

Would you be happy if he said everything is awesome?

He’s upset that the player coming in to be RB5 isn’t an All American?

That’s just mad to be mad at something or pure ignorance

            Take your pick.

You are choosing to read my comments in an overly negative tone. I’m not complaining. I’m not dogging the guy. I’m expressing a valid concern. I didn’t say he was going to suck. I haven’t lamented the current state of our program. I even said I it was nice to have another guy for depth. I don’t see anything negative about any of that.

You say I’m upset, but you have nothing to suggest that is actually the case. Overly pessimistic? Sure. Do I choose to discuss the potential down side of things more than others? Yes. Does that mean I am upset or “negative”? No.

He honestly didn’t seem mad or upset to me. He just said he wasn’t excited based on his past performance, which actually aligns with what you said about him being the 5th option.

People don’t like it because it’s me that said it. If it were onlyu/butterball or whatever he’s calling himself these days, everyone would agree, and that is fine with me.

I don’t always agree with chinngiskhaan. But, let’s be real about this reruit. He has done nothing in three years of college that would make one believe he will be a key player on our 2025 team. That being said, Whitt, et al may see something that a novice like me does not see.

I wish him well at Utah. But, based on what we have in the RB room, I doubt we see him get many carries outside of mop-up time. He does add some much needed depth to our RB room and that is good. But, I highly doubt he will be a key player in 2025. I will happily eat crow if I am wrong.

People don’t like it because you constantly tell people there opinions are wrong. You also ALWAYS state the obvious. Why is it a concern that RB5 sucks? no duh… but if you want to keep stating obvious things, argue with people, and be negative keep doing you.

Chinngiskhaan: I appreciate the “negativity” or pessimism, or whatever it is people want to call it. It brings balance to the fact that some fans are eternally optimistic, and I like seeing the different viewpoints.

However, if you are wondering why you get downvoted so routinely, yes, I think pessimism is part of it (which is just the nature of the beast on a fan board), but I also think it’s that you often come across as defensive. After you make a point, you come back and make multiple more comments to anyone who disagrees, and do so in such a way that it very much looks like a battle of “I’m right, you’re wrong”. Thankfully for you, you often have facts to back up your viewpoint. But unfortunately for you, engaging others in that way doesn’t typically win friends or build camaraderie.

So in my eyes: keep bringing your “negative” viewpoints, and keep bringing the data you have to support those viewpoints. I like those. But don’t feel like you have to fight everyone who disagrees, because there will always be those that disagree, and the fight is honestly just not worth it.

Looks like a good piece to the RB room. In the NIL era we can’t compete for the top guys. So do you recruit and pay freshman who are not physically ready to play or experienced players that can play immediately? Besides Bernard what other RB has developed and stayed? I think the coaching staff is adjusting on the fly and will put the best team on the field with a limited budget.

I like this pickup. Big body that is also a decent receiving threat out of the backfield. Beck will be find ways to use him.
