He looks quick. Seems to play really hard on defense which I like. Some of those steals in the highlights were really nice.

I hope it’s not true. Retzlaff seems like a decent person.
Unfortunately, even if he’s proven innocent, he’ll often be thought of in conjunction with this situation instead of just for his football skills.

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic I didn't have Caleb Lohner on my bingo card of Utes that might get drafted in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Happy for Caleb! Still wished we would have utilized him more last year. 4 receptions and 4 TDs. Would have liked 8 and 8!

NBA has a salary cap, and a draft, so even if he wanted to outbid everyone for the Jazz to get the best roster, he wouldn’t be able to.
NIL has no cap. So those willing to pay the most (e.g. Ryan Smith) will get the best players.

I guess it depends what you use as criteria. Here are some of Bogut’s accomplishments in the 2004 – 2005 season. Pretty impressive in my opinion.

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic A couple thoughts on TDS basketball in the forum They So Poo Poo 2 months, 3 weeks ago
If TDS continues to hit 50% of their 3-pointers, with how many they shoot, they will be a tough out.
They’ve also been good at pulling out the really close games, much to my chagrin.

I know this is a basketball discussion, but I also miss Frank Dolce. I really enjoyed his color commentary and still look forward to listening to his takes when he’s a guest on the radio shows each fall.

Agree that timing is odd.

More important that X’s and O’s and player development these days is the ability to find big boosters who will throw money at NIL.
That should be the first thing we look for in a coach.

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic The Runnin' Utes have certainly exceeded my expectations this season in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 months, 2 weeks ago
I was worried our record would be similar to that of Colorado’s this year. We were picked last weren’t we?
Agree that we’ve definitely overachieved. The team is playing hard.

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic If we lose to Colorado at home, I may need to take a break… in the forum Basketball (Men) 4 months ago
“This is the second time this season that I’ve watched the girls and boys play back to back”
Note that Minnesota Ute also said “boys” instead of “men” when referring to the men’s team. Does that seem demeaning and hateful towards the men’s team?

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic Reason in the forum Football 6 months ago
Here are 3:
#1 – I’d be shocked if we don’t get better QB play next season. Even if it’s a combo of Rose/Wilson, I’ll expect better results than what we saw this year.
#2 – Fewer injury issues. I don’t expect our 2 most important players (Rising and Kuithe this year) to be out for much of the season due to injuries next year.
#2 – More…[Read more]

Yep I’m with Anfernee. Cheering on ISU. Would be an embarrassment to the BXII if TSPP snuck into the CCG.

UteFan Vineyard replied to the topic I love the Utes no matter what and I'm sad that this is the last game. in the forum Football 6 months, 1 week ago
As a fan I’m already so beaten down that a loss won’t really affect me much. But I’d LOVE for the players to go out with a win. I’ve been impressed with how they haven’t given up. They’ve continued to play hard every week. Go Utes!
