Kept his announcement short and sweet. Good luck to him.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic What I think needs to be done with Utah football going forward in the forum Football 1 year, 6 months ago
– Why do you think Shah failed? Special teams was not an issue this year at all. Our kicker got hurt. When he played, he played great. Our punter had a good year as well. Some areas need to improve I guess, but Shah did not fail. I don’t know when you turned into Mr. Negative Nancy.
– We can’t just add a coach (unless we’ve gone all this time…[Read more]

that is true… If he has that itch to scratch, and that itch is stronger than the itch to get Utah to the playoff, he might do it.

I tend to agree with you. I don’t see why he would leave now when he has had similar opportunities before with less incentive to stay.

I don’t know how he feels about football. My family does not talk to him about football. The little I know about his job is things he voluntarily told us (like him saying he hates rubbing elbows with people not on his staff).

it’s possible that what he wants has changed/evolved. He got his shot with the Utes. He had his day in the sun, now he wants to go somewhere where he can dominate. (I’m not claiming that is what he wants, just a hypothetical).

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Ending up 8-4 with all of our injuries ain't that bad. in the forum Football 1 year, 6 months ago
I’m happy with how this season went record was, but the on field product was tough to watch for much of the season. That IS NOT anyone’s fault though. We just caught the injury bug big time, and that decimated our offense.
I’m proud of what the team accomplished this year. Everyone on that team deserves to hold their head up high. It was a total…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Glover is the best back today. Almost has 100 yards on 14 carries. in the forum Football 1 year, 6 months ago
No, I saw the highlights though. He played great. He still hasn’t shown explosiveness though. He has great moves, but he doesn’t run with passion or burst.

That was a great run. He’s got the moves, he just doesn’t seem to have the zing behind those moves yet.

Glover has all the tools… except explosiveness. He just doesn’t seem to be able to run “hard.”
He makes great moves in space, but he doesn’t seem to have any burst, and when he gets hit, its over.
If Glover has it in him, I’m happy to have him.
Any running back on our team that doesn’t have explosiveness needs to be shown the door IMO. It is…[Read more]

Can you blame Smith for pulling out though? Staying in too long could end up costing him a lot of money and freedom.

He looks awfully skinny for a blocker.

Vele leaving increases the odds of us landing a legit receiver in the portal. Still bad odds, but possible.

If our defense plays as well as they can, I think we rough Fifita up and get a relatively comfortable win.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Utah Basketball vs Houston in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 year, 7 months ago
Turnovers, rebounding, and free throws will always be the three most important things in basketball.
– If you turn the ball over you are giving the other team extra chances to score points and missing chances yourself.
– If you give up offensive rebounds, it is essentially the same as a turnover.
– Free throws are called free for a reason. They…[Read more] -

Their tallest starter is 6 ft 9… So we have the height advantage down low. However, they could kill us with their athleticism.
I say we win if we commit less than 12 turnovers.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic I hear Cam has decided to stay. in the forum Football 1 year, 7 months ago
I don’t think Cam staying or leaving changes our current QB recruiting situation. Wilson likely didn’t plan on playing at all in year 1 (he’s getting his shoulder fixed in the offseason), and Cam will be gone when Becker gets here either way.
I won’t mind if any of our current backups leave, so long as it isn’t all of them.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic I hear Cam has decided to stay. in the forum Football 1 year, 7 months ago
I haven’t been that impressed by his athleticism to be honest. Sure, he has good straight line speed, but he doesn’t seem particularly elusive.

Is that bad though? Do we really want him if he only wants to play a position that he isn’t good at playing?
If he isn’t good enough to help us win, he should go somewhere where he will be good enough to help a team win.
