Moss, Gay, Blackmon. All they need to do is pick up Huntley and Johnson and the squad is back together.

I don’t think Whitt goes with his gut on those plays.

LOL! And you claim I’m not being realistic? When all P5 champions are undefeated I will give you my pet flying unicorn pig.
I’ll admit I’m wrong when your scenario happens. Deal?
Also, starting next year, even that won’t matter since the playoff will expand to 12 teams. Before you say, “Well, what if 13 teams finish undefeated?” let me remind…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan started the topic The great thing about this defense is in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
It isn’t dependent on any one player. Our great defenses in the past have all hinged on one player staying healthy. This defense is different. If we lost Barton or Bishop (both amazing players) our defense would still be dominant. Every one of our starters is good enough to be All Pac-12, and their backups are as well for the most part.
THAT is…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan started the topic Our offense will only get better from here on out in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
and our defense will continue to improve as well. I’ll be worried about losing when a team finds a way to score more than 14 points on us.
Other random thought:
If I had to pick two players to snap my fingers and make healthy it would honestly be Jackson and Becker. If Nate can learn to hold onto the football he’ll be good enough to give us a…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Moss with 12 carries already in the 2nd quarter in the forum NFL 1 year, 11 months ago
Anyone on this site that wasn’t a Bills fan knew Moss needed more than a handful of touches a game to get rolling. Him going to the Colts was the best thing that could have happened for his career.

doesn’t matter one teeny tiny bit. Wins are the only thing that matters.

Seems like he’s RB1. I knew he’d succeed once he went to a team that didn’t have Josh “the world revolves around me” Allen.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic RB in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
LOL! You might be the only person on the planet who thinks “JQJ” (his family has requested that we not refer to him as that btw) is not talented enough to be RB1. Did you not watch the Baylor game? He was playing hurt and STILL dominated at times. His problem is not talent. His problem is he is hurt, and has been hurt the entire season.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic If only we had freshmen RB, QBs, etc… in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
Seriously this. I don’t get all the complaining. We are 4-0 against the best OOC schedule we’ve faced in a long time.
I would imagine our offense would perform a little better if they let Nate throw the ball a bit more, but that comes with the risk of turnovers, and the potential that our defense ends up on the field for more time. By running the…[Read more]

That is a definite overreaction. Nate made some good throws. How good was Huntley as a RS Freshman?

I suggested basically the same thing and got absolutely flamed a couple weeks ago. I also had the audacity to predict that Pittman wouldn’t make much of a difference, and got torn apart for that as well. Yet… Here we are.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Someone who watched the game, tell me about Nate Johnson's fumbles in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
Just saw some highlights that showed two of the fumbles. One was absolutely his fault (the one that he lost to UCLA). He needs to secure the ball better there. The other one was not his fault at all. The ball was snapped and he was pretty much immediately hit.
There were 3 times in the 3-minute highlight reel I saw that the offensive line let…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic We Can Still Win Without Cam in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
I agree that it is a coaching thing one way or another. Recruiting/developing/scheme, its all on the coaching.
What I’m suggesting is that if the WRs were better (I’m not claiming it is their fault that they aren’t), they would potentially be featured more in the offense. Covey was a legitimately talented WR, he got plenty of catches. Carrington…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic We Can Still Win Without Cam in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
That is certainly a valid argument, at least with respect to the WR (still somewhat valid with the TEs I guess). I would argue that we have some evidence that it is a talent issue though (which is also a coaching issue if you think about it). Kincaid and Kuithe have been our top pass catchers over the last few years. Our offense was tailored to…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic We Can Still Win Without Cam in the forum Football 1 year, 11 months ago
Disagree. We don’t even have solid starters at WR. Saying we have solid depth there is blatant homerism. The quality from wr 1 to 2 is basically the same because both are mediocre options. We also don’t have solid depth at TE. Yassmin has been MIA, and the next guy up has only been playing TE for a few months.
Our depth isn’t terrible, but it is…[Read more]

Scott Mitchell said that was the receiver’s fault. He said the ball was thrown exactly where the receiver should have been. Don’t know if he was right, but he knows qb stuff.
