Agree on all of your points. As bad as that was, it could have been SO MUCH worse. We really aren’t far from being a good team.
I think the most frustrating part of this is that it’s the same damned issues we’ve had for so many years. Questionable play calling on first down, bad QB play that is majorly exacerbated horrific offensive line…[Read more]

Positives: Jordan, Sewell, the secondary not getting absolutely shellacked (really young, playing against very veteran very talented passing team)… The defense as a whole is solid as usual. Redding made a field goal. Ultimately, the outcome wasn’t nearly as bad as it felt. We lost by two scores to a team with more experience (both in this season…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan started the topic When I first heard that Rising won the starting job, I felt bad for Bentley in the forum Football 4 years, 8 months ago
I typically prefer senior guys get the playing time…
but man… he sucks… really REALLY bad.
Our QBs since joining the pac12 ranked: Huntley>Wilson>Williams>Rising>>>>>Bentley>>>that guy that played in our first Pac12 season, don’t remember his name, JC transfer. -

I’m really upset that they led us to believe that we had two great options at QB when it is clear we had one decent option, and one very very bad option. I know they can’t, but I really wish they’d just be honest about our pass game sucking for once.
Bentley is absolutely awful. Rising was super timid and soft in his limited time playing.
Is…[Read more] -
chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Mark Harlan comments – Positive outlook on playing football Saturday in the forum Football 4 years, 9 months ago
How is that a positive outlook? He didn’t mention one thing about things improving. All he said is that he is hoping that we are able to play Saturday. Optimistic? Sure. Positive? I’m not so sure.

Storm the field at Notre Dame.

ummmmmmm…. It is absolutely about following guidelines. Look at places/countries where expert advice was heeded. Are they still dealing with this like the US? Nope.
Today’s a nice day. Do yourself a favor and go drive by the local playground. I don’t know what it’s like in SLC, but here in Utah valley, I drove by three different parks and each…[Read more]

Why punish these kids just to delay the inevitable. It isn’t their fault that there are so many morons in this state that refuse to follow guidelines.

WTF did I just watch? Sumlin is so beyond burnt out. He seems like he doesn’t have a clue what is going on with his team, either that or he is avoiding answering questions truthfully.
WOW!
The players? They are basically saying, “hey, anything is possible I guess… right? Isn’t it?”
So yeah, not confident. We should win easily.

This isn’t typical. If this wasn’t 2020 he wouldn’t be transferring this time of year.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic KW is a great coach in the forum Football 4 years, 9 months ago
Yeah, but I assure you that isn’t why he coaches.
The part about him hating all the other stuff is coming straight from his own mouth. He hates rubbing elbows with boosters/fans/media… can’t stand it really.
If he could say less to the media/fans/boosters and still keep his job, he would do so without hesitation.
That isn’t to say he doesn’t…[Read more]

another project on the offensive line. Maybe his technique is awesome, but I somehow doubt it. I want more than anything for our offensive line to be dominant like our defensive line. No reason why it can’t be.

We do not need another DT, we have plenty of NFL talent there, as usual… but he would be among the best for sure.
There are two major bonuses to getting him aside from the fact that he would be playing for us.
1. He would NOT be playing for someone else. If he goes elsewhere, it’ll probably Oregon, which would be frustrating.
2. It would show…[Read more] -

Lol, Blackmon has never been as good a tackler as Johnson. He may be avoiding piles, but fundamentally he was miles ahead of Blackmon in every aspect in college. Blackmon’s terrible tackling resulted in at least a few losses that should have been wins. Blackmon is a great player, but I would hesitate to label him a tackler.

chinngiskhaan started the topic What should we expect from the offensive line this year? in the forum Football 4 years, 9 months ago
They were great run blocking for most of last season, and did an adequate job pass blocking against bad teams last year. My expectation is that they massively improve in pass blocking.
If that doesn’t happen, I’m all in on firing Harding. We lost to USC and Oregon because our offensive line failed to do anything right in either of those games.…[Read more] -

Sometimes it’s about leaving home, and sometimes it’s about going to the team that beat the snot out of the other option.
Oregon players from Utah have by in large done exceptionally well.

Lol, is he your brother? His genes are different than yours. He is allegedly much shorter than his listed height. People that know his family well have told me he is done growing.
Austin kafenzis did similar things early on in HS, and he was a terrible QB in college.
