I don’t mind Brumfield, I just don’t want him to be the feature back. We need someone that can break off big runs. Brumfield is not that guy. IDGAF what he did in high school. He’s a solid back, but he has been the opposite of explosive.
And yes, we agree on the so poo poo offensive line.

We’ve been seeing the same guys suit up for several years. I am ready for some new faces. The defense will have a lot of WTF moments but it will be our most athletic defense ever. The offense should have more explosive potential than we’ve had since joining the Pac12.
i have a few hopes. I want to see a smaller more athletic player get PT in the…[Read more] -

Did you actually read my whole post??? I said we could win the south, just not the whole pa12… which is basically what you said. You need to grow a pair… of eyeballs.

I won’t be shocked if we don’t play well next year, but I don’t think the way they performed in garbage time is really a fair way to gauge their ability. Almost every player out there plays better when they are playing in the role they are prepared for.
I don’t believe we will have as good a defense as this year, but we will still have a top 3 D…[Read more]

It’s just a game man. Sorry if me pointing out the obvious (which you seem to agree with) ruins your holiday or whatever.

Lol, chill dude. It’s ok to admit these guys didn’t do what they set out to do. They had a good season, just not the one they wanted.

Moss reverted to that against Oregon. Constantly cutting one way when he should have cut the other.

The late night start times have turned my son into a Utes fan! He hadn’t previously cared about sports until I started letting him stay up to watch games with me. So I guess I have Larry Scott to thank!

I’m right there too. I sometimes peruse cougarboard when I’m feeling really down. It helps to know there are teams in much worse situations than we are. I know, I’m pathetic.
There was actually a post on Cougarboard highlighting how well Utah is doing with in state recruits this year. The only one in the top 7 we have lost is Noah Sewell, who is…[Read more]

I still don’t know why we continue to harp on Jadon Redding and the kicking game like it was awful. He has only missed 3 all year. I understand that he needs to get better, and improve his leg strength, but he is a freshman. Matt Gay and Andy Phillips weren’t even kicking footballs as freshmen. He’ll be good.
Nick Ford at LT? YUCK! That dude has…[Read more]

@ ASU loss
@ Cal Win
@ Colorado – win, losing basically all of their production on offense and they weren’t good with that production.
@ UCLA win
Arizona – win
Oregon St – win
USC – 50/50 because it’s at home, but I’m leaning toward predicting a loss here
UW 50/50 because what their team will look like is a complete unknown
@ WSU 50/50 because…[Read more] -

it’s really not much different than romans watching people get slaughtered in the colleseum.
The coaches get paid millions and totally let their players down when the time comes for them to make their mark.
The players pend 4 years pouring their heart and soul into the game, only to come away with broken bodies and Sh*tty degrees (sociology or…[Read more] -

Oregon may be looking at it like, “hey, it’s Rose Bowl either way for us…” This bodes well for us (if they are thinking that which I doubt).

But when Jones runs things and the game flows they are a joy to watch.
Jones is amazing (minus the flopping, can’t stand it).
jantunen is starting to look more comfortable out there.
Allen is the best team leader we’ve had in a long time.
I hate college officiating. It ruins the game.

I gotta disagree on the kicker part of your post. I don’t know why everyone here is so worried about our kicking game. He doesn’t have a huge leg, but he’s done everything we have asked of him since the loss to USC. He is a freshman. I think he is going to be a very good kicker for us.

I know we lose a bunch of guys, and a lot of people are saying that next year will be the year we lose to BYU… but I honestly see a team that will still compete for the Pac12 south.
Oddly enough I think Huntley and Moss (their production at least) will be replaced without too much difficulty. I think Rising is more than capable of putting up…[Read more] - Load More
