Based on Utah’s luck this year, they’d probably end up with LSU’s defense in the deal

Tuttle giveth and Tuttle taketh away. There’s no guarantee Wilson comes to Utah, especially since Utah never offered him. Maybe that changes if they don’t go all in on Tuttle.,, no one knows. At the same time, if Tuttle doesn’t leave as soon as he did, Utah probably doesn’t get Rising to transfer (who also did not receive an offer while in HS).

Stroud didn’t visit. He had an offer but I don’t know that he had any interest in Utah.

I only knew that because I was more excited about Jones coming than Daniels. I thought we were recruiting Daniels to make sure Jones came. Man, did I have that one wrong.

Manjack for Houston was a receiver that Utah thought they could get. Went to SC instead before transferring when Riley took over. On his HUDL, he ran away from everyone on the field.

Broughton was in the 2019 class so he would have one more year. He only played two games in 2021 so that would be his redshirt year.

The bigger issue is why the RB has to pick up so many pass rushers?

Throw 2020 out because I just don’t see the NCAA doing anything other than saying “we already gave you a free year for covid, now you want us to give you a 2 for 1?”

2020 isn’t a medical. Everyone got a free year for 2020, no matter their playing status so he wouldn’t be able to apply for a medical based on 2020. 2023 is the year he can apply for it, but if he comes back and plays the rest of the year, it would not be granted.

RB weight is an overrated measurable. Being able to avoid hits is still preferable to delivering them.

For comparison, Nate Johnson is under 2 bills and people want him to carry it on every play.

This year is no different than previous. It’s just more obvious with all of the injuries

He transferred back this summer so technically, Whitt did get a QB out of the portal 🙂

It’s up to interpretation. I’m pretty confident in the eligibility rules but I wouldn’t fault you checking my work.

It seems like he was rattling off the QB’s who would play if necessary, and Howard should have been named. But I’m just guessing that he got mixed up.

I think he just mixed up Howard and Rose. Howard can play this year and still maintain his redshirt.

I suppose we could be disagreeing on semantics. Rose did not play in 2022 so one of his 5 years to play 4 is gone. You can call it burning his redshirt or just call it did not play – coaches decision. His only opportunity to gain a 6th year to play 4 would be after his eligibility had expired and he received a successful medical waiver.
