I was hoping that issue had been addressed this year but SC and now ASU have made it look silly

Normally yes. But with a 3 TD lead and having him be hurt all year? Glover was averaging 9 yards per in the first half and is more than capable of finishing this game.
The important game is next week.

college football was made for 12:30 kickoffs. just like the NFL is. If you want night games, watch more high school

I love the long TD but if that run is his last this year, it wasn’t worth it. Why was he in the game at this point?

Because you can’t play less that 4 games if you play one of the first 8?

And then misses a 27 yard field goal to tie

27-7 down to tied in the 4th. If I’m being honest, K-State is the team I would be most worried about in the Big 12

Look at that. Apparently the freshman RB’s can play

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Are Jonah Elliss and Cole Bishop Gone After this Season? in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
Bishop’s biggest issue is that his role changed this year. He’s never been a coverage safety but since he and Vaki are best suited for the same position, they’ve been switching off in coverage and box. Bishop was huge around and behind the LOS last year but hasn’t been as effective this time around.
Part of the issue is out of his control. In…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Help an old Ute fan feel better about tomorrow. in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
It’s pretty simple. Don’t overreact to either a loss or a win. Utah wasn’t 4 TD’s better than Oregon in 2021 and they aren’t 4 TD’s worse in 2023. Those just happened to be the results in a single game.
You either believe Utah is the better team and will find a way to win tomorrow or you don’t. Can’t help you past that.

Check out USC’s schedule for next year. LSU and Notre in non-con. Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Washington and a potentially good UCLA. No wonder Reilly’s sending out NFL feelers.

I think 2024 is going to be one of those years where everyone gets two bye weeks. There are 14 Saturdays from Labor Day weekend through Thanksgiving weekend.

Michigan dominated 3 G5’s to start this year and no one will hold it against them. Beating bad teams is always going to be preferable to losing to good ones. The first time I see the committee give anything more than lip service to SOS, or even conference championships, I’ll start believing that it is a necessary component.
The only thing that…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Rose update in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
If Johnson wants an NFL career, he doesn’t need to go more than about 10 yards in either direction and play slot.
I may be misreading the market but it feels like he would have Shelley vibes in the portal. Maybe he gets a chance to QB at a G5 but the same mechanical issues will still exist. If Johnson is willing to put in the work to correct…[Read more]

when it comes down to human polls winning, no matter the opponent, is always valued higher than losing to a good opponent. The #2 team per the committee has played two teams with winning records to this point, neither of which is currently ranked. Their FBS opponent records are a combined 22-36. The only thing on their resume for 2023 is that…[Read more]
