OKC also has the best record in NBA history in elimination games – they are good at extending serieses. OKC wins tonight, Jazz close it out in game 6.

They are not equally weighted. It’s total butts in seats in both venues divided by total seats in both venues. And since most football stadiums have 5x the number of seats as a basketball arena, it’s about 5x weighted toward football.

Our best players were Gay and Wood. Gay. Wood.
My brain never got past 5th grade.

Would’ve been good from 10 more yards…

At least in 20 years we’ll have figured out how to stack double-wides…

Good movie…I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only had one problem with it (a bit of a spoiler alert here):
You mean to tell me that there’s the worldwide game that everyone plays, and the five best players in the world all live in Columbus Ohio?

Better question: Who are the five weirdos that thumbed up this post? Ew.

Thanks to all who posted their scrimmage thoughts. Thanks to you, I’m sporting a 3/4 chubb right now.

Truthfully, I’m on the fence about that one. I see clear ways in which superior speed or strength would benefit an elite baseball player. That said, there are some pretty fat, out of shape dudes playing baseball at the highest level.

Nice of Tiger Woods to be giving the TV audience a tour of the lovely scenery between the fairways at Augusta National. Is he the most stunning rags-to-riches-to-rags story in the history of sports?
BTW, here’s the funniest bit of comedy I’ve ever seen about golf:

I’ve always defined it as: If a person with average fitness can do it at an elite level, then it’s a hobby and not a sport.
FYI there’s nothing wrong with a favorite pastime being a hobby – I think many hobbies take quite a bit more talent and practice than sports, and are certainly as worthy or more worthy of our admiration than sports.

Come on…it’s not just about money. It’s about the total compensation package they’re offering – salary, benefits, PTO, 401(k), etc. Not sure we can match all that.

Hey, sorry I haven’t been around here since the game…been trying to enjoy NYC with the fam.
I will say, having been to a number of away games (football and basketball), Penn St. fans were the douchiest I’ve been around, with the exception of BYU fans. I’ll skip the particulars, but they were pretty much dicks to us. And it’s not like my group…[Read more]

Greetings from NYC, bitches! Last night was a blast and I’ve already got my tickets for Thursday night. For those wondering, I picked up lower bowl tix for $25 a pop.
Say what you want about the NIT, but this is a lot of fun. Also, there are exactly 6 teams in the country playing basketball right now, and Utah is one of them. That ain’t nothing.
