i agree with a lot of this, but Vegas sucks ass. Snow is good. And the culture in Utah is not as shitty as it was even 10 years ago. 
 
Still, weighing the tax issues and also the housing market is a nightmare in SL valley right now, Utah is probably right.

I don’t have a problem with having a last game of the year vs. a rival, that’s rivalry week anyway. But the problem is that our rival is a program in a downward trajectory that it is hurting our sos to play this game. 

It is a trap game scenario, yes, but in all seriousness i think could be a 54-10 type game. Last game of the year, at RES, crowd will be pumped, tds is still a god awful team. Even with injuries mounting by then, Utes win by 2 TD’s min. 

Gawd, I hope we see him play an entire, or close to an entire season this time. He is a good kid.

TLDR:

When predicting wins and losses, look at the schedule. In Utah’s schedule they have the advantage schedule wise in 6 games: Weber State, Northern Illinois, WSU, Stanford, Arizona, ASU. We have the disadvantage in three games: USC, UCLA, Oregon. And three games are a wash: Washington, Colorado, BYU.

It has nothing to do with our recruiting class (which was great, by the way). Look at what we have returning:

Huntley was the #3 QB in the PAC-12 in total offense per game, behind only Rosen and Darnold (that means Huntley is the #1 returning QB in total offense per game).

I posted this on another site, but I don’t see how BYU ends up in the MWC, because there isn’t a scenario that works for both parties. Why?

We know that MWC teams each get about 1.1 million per year from their tv deal. Boise St gets about 3 million. BYU gets about 4 million from ESPN.
