pedro replied to the topic Ludwig didn't call a great game, but this is 90% Barnes' fault in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Like some dude on X pointed out, Ludwig hasn’t called a great game since Cam was last healthy. Nor had he called a great game before Cam played for us. Coincidence? Cam makes Lud.
pedro replied to the topic 4th and 3 in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
This was a great example of why Lud should be gone. We didn’t run hardly any plays all game to stretch the D. We run a two back set which tells the D that are either running the ball or throwing shallow (bc RB’s can’t usually beat you deep) and then we expect the guy to be open on a 4 yard come back? Absolutely horrible play calling.
pedro replied to the topic Fire Ludwig in the forum Football 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I agree. He had an entire month to prepare for this game. Barnes certainly did his worst, but instead of adjusting the play calling to short do-able passes, we abandon it, shit down both legs, and run the ball 2 yards at a pop, putting Barnes in even a worse situation (3rd and long) every GD series. If we are going to stick with Barnes, then…[Read more]

Rose can’t play without losing his medical RS appeal. MRS is not the same as a regular RS.

I try not to question the decisions these kids make, because they are kids and they are being thrown into some very adult decisions with major consequences. But A: He was average at best. Does he think he’s better than he is. B: I’m tired of just giving these kids a pass. If this was your kid, knowing what you know, how would you advise him?…[Read more]

This is the same guy that convinced the other PAC12 teams to hold our for more money. How did that work out? I’ve been saying it from day 1 yet some support him no matter what. He is not a Ute, he will never be a Ute and he is only here to get to the next job. He is in fact one of the pirates in the room.
pedro replied to the topic Will Howard would be my target for QB transfer in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
I will pass. Seen him play twice and he seems like another Brewer IMHO. knows his current system and if the right play is called, he looks good. Otherwise, I just wasn’t impressed when he was up against tougher D’s. Granted a small sample size, so take it FWIW
pedro replied to the topic Ending up 8-4 with all of our injuries ain't that bad. in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
I don’t disagree with you. I just don’t think having your 5th string walk=on QB is the time to open the game plan up. Which is what I thought Proud was saying. CU threw more bc they had to. Otherwise their gameplan was exactly like ours. If they would have jumped out to a lead, I think you would have seen more passing from Luke
pedro replied to the topic Ending up 8-4 with all of our injuries ain't that bad. in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
I don’t get why people get frustrated when we lose playing Whit style. I really dislike CU. So to me, you win any way you need to win. We dominated the TOP and kept their O off the field with precision. I’m not sure why that is frustrating. Do we want to go back to the 80’s and rather than win Whit style, lose Fassel style?

Does anybody know what Ellis’ injury is? I know he’s out for the remainder, but have never seen what it was. TIA

IIRC NJ only starting playing QB his senior year in HS. I would say that this was more of a swing and miss in the recruiting spectrum.

Or maybe he didn’t want to keep differentiating b/t the three different Sanders associated w the buffs.
Or he does that every week, which is what I’ve always noticed.

A lot of this is due to ticket prices. People cannot re-sell their tickets (if they can’t use them) like they’ve been able to in the past.

Johnson will not stay if he isn’t playing QB. Mark it down. He will bolt.
pedro replied to the topic Who could be back next year. in the forum Football 6 months ago
We have a lot of TE’s right now. Most are redshirting. But I think King is really setting himself apart both with catching and blocking. I think a couple of the younger guys will really be making names for themselves next year.
