Dorian Singer: Is it between Utah and ASU like the video claims?

  Came across this random YT video while browsing, and this guy claims (starting 6:25) that it’s down to us and ASU for Dorian Singer. Is this true? I thought he had offers from several top schools, and it’s an uphill battle for us. But we have to feel good about our chances if it’s between us and ASU (assuming this guy’s claims are true)? Anybody have more info on this?

  I posted this somewhere else, but if you are a reciever and are good, you will get 70+ catches a year. Carrington did it, Kuithe did it, Kincaid did it, Patrick and Covey almost did it.

  Bartle said that Utah was the first major college to offer him out of high school. So, I am hoping that this means something to him. I would love to see him play as a Ute next season.

    Iowa State offered him almost a year before Utah did. I’m petty sure he ended up walking on at Arizona so I’m not sure a previous offer would matter.

    I thought that immediately after he announced his entry into the portal but it hasn’t happened yet. Two things to consider…Singer is from Phoenix, so playing at ASU would be going home for him…in addition, ASU also has a large bench of deep-pocketed boosters and, being from the area, his name has more resonance regarding endorsements in Phoenix than LA.

      Alabama didn’t have their usual 3 first round receivers and didn’t make the playoffs. Can’t imagine anyone will outspend them if Saint Nick let’s it be known that he wants him.

        If I had a choice of USC or Alabama (strictly for football purposes), Alabama would be a no-brainer for me. Singer will get a lot more attention playing there.

  Rising indecisive, and quite frankly seems checked out ready to move on to a new adventure, but no pressure to decide until 1/15, higher level transfer portal QBs finding schools, back-up and Frosh QBs currently in Utah’s system. Why would a high level WR take the risk and sign with Utah? Singer’s going to a program like USC or other high profile team with an established QB. I get Rising, Kuithe, Vele, Phillips and others looking out for their own interest. At some point KW needs to look at the best interest of the team after the bowl game moving forward to next season. IMO, Utah should go with the current Frosh QBs and Barnes. What’s the point of even recruiting QBs out of H.S. if they’re going to get jumped by a transfer QB. Other than Rising, Utah has a shaky track record of signing transfer portal QBs. Go with what you got. Guessing this all gets sorted out after the bowl game.

    Like I said before, if you are a high level WR, Utah will get you the ball. Freshman Huntley hit Carrington for 70 catches. Young Rising leaned heavily on Kuithe and Covey.
    
    Whitt gets his stars the ball. A star WR for a young QB is amazing.
    
    You come to Utah and earn it, you will get the ball.
