Could happen as early as tonight.
All hope is not lost yet…..
Just came on the Monty Show too.
The Monty Show source was a call directly from someone at the University of Utah stating that they have received an invite and the official announcement would be tonight or tomorrow.
Some are reporting on the possibility of having to accept lesser shares. Don’t know if there is real smoke to this, or if trolls are trolling again.
My understanding, and I could be wrong, any P5 addition must receive full shares.
That was my understanding also. I remember reading somewhere (can’t find it now) that Fox might not pay full shares, or whatever. Info is sketchy.
Edit: Just found this: Scheer saying full shares.
Yes

The Big-12 pro rata agreement with ESPN stipulates that any new P5 school they bring in gets the full ~20MM. Fox isn’t under that obligation but agreed to pay full freight (~11MM) for Colorado and the speculation is that they are willing to for Arizona also.
With Utah and ASU (?) joining at the same time as the other 2, it is likely that they will also get the same deal.
I’m seeing reports that UA. ASU and Utah are still sticking together as a threesome, so hopefully that will help avoid the partial share situation, but who knows?
This is good news, Ute fans. We’ve had our disputes with Jason over the years, but he’s been a pretty solid source during this round of realignment.
Big12 here we come!!!!!!!!
Sources: Both Utah and Arizona State have applied for formal membership to the Big 12 Conference, and there’s a call tonight with the Big 12's presidents and chancellors to discuss their membership. Arizona applied and was approved yesterday.

Bartle reporting it is happening, and at full shares:
Have gotten this a lot, so just to clarify, Utah will be on the move to the Big 12 and will do so with a full share from the conference.

Edit: His 247 article:

I hope it’s true even though I had hoped for other outcomes. After all the drama, the TDS fans had a 48 hour taste of the exclusivity we’ve had for the past 10+ years.
Let’s win the last Rose Bowl and then take the Big12 by storm.
I think that Jan 1 2023 was the last real Rose Bowl.
unless the Big-20 is willing to continue to play the Pac-4 on a yearly basis.,,
