Genius. He was calling recruits in the morning and evening and telling them about the NBA players he was training that day. Also, I loved that his approach is the NBA approach of production rather than NIl bidding only. We got a good one. I’m excited for this year.
Some mother fuckers on here were lamenting his working both jobs at once: but i…[Read more]

Good read if you haven’t seen it already.
“Jensen said it occasionally helped to have a foot in both worlds. “There were times we were hurt in Dallas and didn’t have depth at the point guard position, and after the game, I’d say, ‘We need a point guard [in Utah],’” Jensen tells FOS. “So, in a weird way, the two kind of helped each other.””

Yes! Punk Rock is in there but in the Guide Pins. I should definitely add it to the terminology since the Diving Board is in there. Good call. I’ll add those both to the next version!

Wow, Tony I love this APP. So impressive! As a lifelong (44 years) Alta skier, I loved reading through the terminology. A couple I would add:
Stadium air: A big wind-lip, or natural created jump at the base of Devils Castle. Many locals throw backflips, double backflips and other aerials off this feature.
Punk Rock: A young Alta skiers favorite…[Read more] -

Man, watching this team is so much fun. It is a completely different experience than watching them play the Heat over and over in the ECF. With that team, every offensive possession felt like pulling teeth. We were intentionally slowing games down hoping we could lean on David West for buckets. With this team, its all about having fun, pushing the…[Read more]

Not a bad thought. I like the 3D best as well. I’ve tried to find a winter map that’s got more snow but haven’t had any luck.

We have the athleticism to do what the Pacers have done to every team they’ve played in the playoffs. Run, run, run until they get too tired. Full court defense on their best player all game long. Push the ball as fast as possible. Lots of movement and minimal dribbling on offense.
I think this could be a winning strategy for us. Of course, I…[Read more]

The 3D feature is very cool. That should be the default in my novice opinion.

Not overly concerned with his height and weight. What I like about Dampier, Ficklin, Johnson is they all fit a type. Athletic, fast, strong arm dual threats.
Beck appears to have a type of QB he wants for his system. Time will tell, but so far Beck doesn’t seem to pursue square pegs. He gets QBs that fit his system instead of fitting his system t…[Read more]

Interesting
In announcing Utah’s basketball roster, it’s also noted that Dawes became the first University of Utah student-athlete to sign a revenue share agreement.
Last Friday’s watershed House vs. NCAA settlement paved the way for schools to directly pay athletes. The settlement goes into effect July 1.

With that kind of shooting percentage, he might be that spot up knock down shooter we need. It seems like many great teams have the guy that comes off the bench that throws the D for a loop because everyone is in help mode, then all of a sudden you hang 6 or 9 points on them in a handful of possessions. Not sure if that’s the plan but it sounds good.

Looks like we got another shooter. Hopefully he’s good enough at other things to see PT.

Heh, I was 6 ft 4 and 160 soaking wet in high school. My parents did not allow me to play football because they knew I would break in half.
If he can’t get up to at least 180 he shouldn’t be played QB for us.

The height isn’t really the issue, whether just under or just over 6 feet. 165 pounds won’t play at the P4 level

Many of you know I’m a big time powder skier when not watching Utah Football. 🙂 A new mobile app I’ve been working on over the winter has just been released in the Apple and Google app stores, “Alta Guide.” The app is a digital guide for skiing Alta, with detailed run information, 3D maps, photos, run tracking and statistics, weather, traffic…[Read more]
