I get what you are saying, and I agree with the sentiment of it, but I have to disagree. These kids have 4(ish) years to make their dreams of making it big come true. 4 more years of pursuing their dream. I agree. The team has been better than the previous past two years.

I disagree, but for different reasons that others have given. I simply don’t like the message that the portal sends to these kids: That if you’re not getting what you want, just quit and go somewhere else and keep doing that until you do get what you want. At an impressionable age, we should be trying to teach our young people the opposite.

Weird for some reason I thought he had another year. Wonder why we would use time and resources into someone who would need more than 1 year to develop. Seems like a big waste that we took him into the program.

I appreciate that, but I don’t need the internet stranger respect. 90% or more of the things I post online (including this post) are random passing thoughts I have with little to no thought put into them. I doubt that is something worth respecting… but I appreciate it nonetheless.

I don’t think anyone with a brain is expecting this team to do well in Big12 play. We would be a decent MWC team, thats about it.

Funny how Utah State is on its third head coach in three years and they still do well. Smith is the fruit of the poisoned tree. Sounds exciting, though I’m assuming at this point he’ll play 1 season for us and if he does well a B1G or SEC team will swoop in with a truckload of cash.
