Even when they rose to mediocrity by getting into fg range the special teams would line up on that right hash.

Will Kenan Johnson be coming back for next season?

Men are bigger and stronger on the BB court than the women, however, the lady utes shoot FT better than the men. How could there be a reason? Our ladies were 78% at the FT last year. To solve this problem have a mid week free throw contest between the men and women, the winner each week gets preference over the basketball resources for the…[Read more]

Was worried when we lost Calhoun…now I’m not as worried.

RG3 never rushed for 1k in a season.
I did find this from the BCS era. Couple more Heisman’s on that list if they’d wanted to expand the range to this century.

Madsen seems to leave the ground early on many of his misses. I think he often misjudges his own leaping abilities and air time!

How many missed dunks took place last night. If I remember correctly, Aiden, Lovering, and Wahlin also had at least one.

I don’t want to harp on a subject, but Utah followed their 47% FT rate versus Zona with a 46% versus ASU. And, one thing we forget, is that a lot of these missed FTs are the front ends of 1 and 1s, meaning they’re leaving a lot more money on the table than what the stats show

Digressed or regressed?

He’s 10th in the nation in scoring – I don’t mind him missing a dunk or two if the threes keep dropping. 🙂

not trying to bag on the kid……but this is a very clear indication of where the utah bball program is. how things have digressed over the years.

Every kid gets a trophy generation, unrestricted transfer portal, huge gaps in conference membership value, large booster/donor disparities, a worthless NCAA with no backbone, and no tampering transparency or accountability among the different schools.
What could go wrong?
I don’t begrudge these college athletes from trying to “get theirs” while…[Read more]

The Miami Ute replied to the topic NIL in the forum Football 5 months ago
Revenue sharing and NIL are two separate issues. Some people conflate the two because they both involve players getting paid, something that was strictly verboten under the previous system. But you’re right, the next step is revenue sharing and players becoming employees of universities. I believe that’s the end of the line in college athletics…[Read more]

That was a big problem here about 5-10 years ago here when Huntley was QB. Would appear ready to run, linemen would start downfield to set up blocks, but he would throw at the last moment resulting in the yellow hanky.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic NIL in the forum Football 5 months ago
Well, you’re not wrong. As I understand it, what NIL is supposed to do is allow players to capitalize on their popularity and positive name recognition. As you say, what it really has done is turn what was putatively an amateur sport into a professional minor league. I don’t know how the powers that be are ever going to put the genie back in…[Read more]
