I think the biggest indicator of them caring is the huge advantage in rebounding we’ve had the last two games. Rebounds are a simple stat, but they win games for you. They are also an indication of effort.
As down as I was on this team before I watched them, I am actually really enjoying watching them so far.
GONE are the days of the Krystko…[Read more]

Marco Anthony is going to be HUGE for this team. 6 ft 5 guard has 25 rebounds in 2 games.
I think we traded up or at least came out even with pretty much every player that left. Mahorcic, Gach, Jenkins, Worster, and Anthony are all talented guys.
I’m excited to see how they perform against better competition. I think there is a lack of…[Read more] -

was actually his son’s shirt, which he took with him mistakenly, but had to just go with it.

Against Oregon and/or Colorado? Maybe not all of them, but anyway who could use the rest?

I don’t know, but had they not called that we may have been able to run the clock out (or very near it) on that possession… It helped us because we got a 1st down, but we probably get one anyway in that situation. Oh well, that was the one call that went our way.
This is the closest I’ve ever come to actually believe that the Pac12 was fixing games.

Yeah, Tavion is the best of the three. Pledger ran harder than he has all season, and still struggle to get yards in short yardage situations. I think it was mostly the line, and the defense TBH. Our offensive line has really struggled to both pass block and run block effectively in the same game.

Coaching:
Whitt: C
Scalley: C
Shah: F, has he even attempted to fix the punt team issues? The best punter on the planet wouldn’t have gotten that punt off. The ST has been getting steadily worse for a few years now. The wheels have come completely off.
Ludwig: A+, play calling was phenomenal today. Zero WTF play calls. Great play design on…[Read more] -

Coaching: ST coaching needs to improve immediately. Clearly there is an issue, and teams are exploiting it, and nothing has been done to fix it. Changing the punter isn’t going to fix the fact that we don’t even bother to block on punts.
The defense was not ready to play this game.
Offensively I thought Ludwig did an EXCELLENT job calling plays.…[Read more] -

If he could just gain some confidence he has the physical tools to be Delon with NBA range.

Or the constant dribbling into traffic only to have the ball stripped. He also had issues defensively.
Useful player. Better than our current backups. Could become a high level player… but he’s just pretty good right now

You don’t think he has flaws? He’s a perfect player is he?
Come on man. He’s as inconsistent as they come. Do you not remember him missing like 30 threes in a row? He’s a great player to have as a 6th man, but to even suggest that he isn’t flawed is willful ignorance.

Hey now, I specifically said this isn’t a euphemism, and because I said it, it is true as usual.
Don’t hate just because you have bad taste in fruit skin.

I used to love peaches, but for the life of my I can’t get past the nasty skin. The fuzziness makes me feel like I’m eating some kind of furry animal skin. NOPE!
Pears on the other hand have a skin that is actually satisfying to bite into. They are sweet, and a bit tangy. They are also more firm than peaches. MUCH better IMO.
Also, if you don’t…[Read more] -

Kyle was adamant that Brian Johnson had the best football mind of any player he had ever met. Went so far as to say that his football mind was easily better than Alex Smith, and this is when Brian was still 17. Kyle had/has an extremely high opinion of Brian.
Covey is very bright. He and Brian are actually quite similar in regards to their…[Read more]

If he is somehow able to put on some significant weight (another 20 lbs would be nice), he won’t have to rely on this as much. If you are as big as Jakob Poeltl, you can afford to stand and hold the ball on the block for a second, because even if someone pokes the ball, you probably aren’t letting go.
I don’t think this is going to happen, os…[Read more]
