This team has so much fight. 85% of the offense is limping, the defense is making big mistakes, and they’ve managed a tie for the first half. Don’t let their receivers run free, tackle the QB, Rising hits a couple of open receivers for long TD’s and this is a blowout.
I just feel like if Utah stops putting the ball on the ground and cleans up a…[Read more]

I hate these binary opinions. No one is saying Rising is the best ever and no one is saying he sucks.
He’s somewhere between 75 and 85 percent of his peak effectiveness right now. Any speculation is on whether that will be enough because it wasn’t against Oregon.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic What happens if all of the favored teams in the CCGs lose? in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
Unfortunately, there really wouldn’t be any chaos. At this point, USC is the only team that would fall out since you would have four one-loss teams. TCU, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State would be your 4 with the order being decided by how bad each team lost in their CCG.
There isn’t a chance that 4 loss Purdue or 3 loss Kansas State/Utah get in.…[Read more]

you’ve recovered? Any time the team gets down two scores early I expect to see the ghost of Andy Dalton run all over the place.

Oh man, you’ve gotta throw a challenge flag! Does it really count as a road trip if you didn’t have to leave your own state?

That a single bowl game would be able to hold up a billion dollar deal which will hopefully benefit all 131 member schools.,,

as of right not only TCU, Georgia and Michigan can claim that the did it on their own. Everyone else needed help to get to where they were.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Sorry if I missed, did JQJ get hurt? I thought he looked great and was running in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
Thomas is a good back but let’s be clear; he’s no Booker, White or Moss. If there’s a hole, Thomas can run straight into it hard and carry a defender for a couple of yards. But the next time he slips a tackler in the backfield and turns it into something positive will be the first.
Utah was able to make up for having one do-it-all back in 2021…[Read more]

Immediately handing the ball back to the other team right after your Defense has forced a turnover is inexcusable. To have it happen twice in one game.,, well, at least Reid scored on his turnover so that the offense didn’t waste that one also.

Follow up:
1. Oregon wins: 57.7%. Oregon in CCG
2. WSU wins: 46.9%. Oregon in CCG with win or loss against OSU due to H2H against Utah -
2008 National Champ replied to the topic Is P12 CCG hope still alive? Is this scenario correct? in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
it’s definitely possible, but it’s around 4th or 5th on the likelihood scale. The most obvious is that Oregon wins and they are in. And should UW lose in Pullman, Oregon is still in no matter what happens against OSU. Last night took Utah from being in the drivers seat in most of the tie-breaking scenarios to needing a lot of help. FPI…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Here's a question for those PAC-12 savants… in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
Yes, they have the option. USC got the Rose Bowl in 2016 over Colorado who lost the CCG to Washington.
Here’s a hypothetical for people who like to play that game: 10-2 North Carolina beats 11-1 Clemson in the ACC CCG, Ohio State/Michigan winner wins the Big 10 CCG, 10-2 Utah beats 11-1 SC in the CCG, Georgia/TCU in out. Who ya got for #4?…[Read more]

What is this, the No Fun League?
Seriously though, they let plenty of celebration and/or taunting go on all the time. The “I got a first down signal”, the different sack “dances”, the dropping of the football as the player crosses the goal line.,, Sure Covey should have been flagged for flexing against ASU but you should never try to legislate…[Read more]
