As a guy who is a Utah basketball fan first (football second), I’m surprised that I’m less fired up about this than I should be. I guess the constant transfers have taken the shine off good recruiting news for me.

I dunno…I remember a few years in the MWC days when Air Force was also known as “chop block U”, but in general I agree with you. And I can’t ever dislike a service academy or its players – they’ve signed up for a lot more than just college and football.

I’ll take a site with 25 people who post valid, informative, Ute-centered content and disagree in amicable ways over a site with 250 people who post whatever and go all “internet tough guy” on each other any day of the week. And that’s what I’ve got here.

Same here. Just demolished my old house and built a new one on the same property. From demo day to move in took 6 months, everything was amazing. Entire project cost $300k, and the new house appraised at $600k. I loved my contractor and he did a great job.

I think what you’re proposing is 90% of the currently reality, so I don’t think you need to blackmail anyone. If you want the status quo as it relates to scheduling BYU-P in all sports, just keep voting for BYU-P alums in state legislature races.

I dunno…I see a disproportionate number of BYU-P fans among the Oregon fanbase.

Here’s my observation of who BYU-P fans support throughout the year:
April – August: BYU-P football
August – November: Oregon football
November – January: BYU-P basketball
January – April: Gonzaga basketball

He loves how well Utah recruits.
