My friend’s son got the season started by winning Player of the Week honors in, of all places, Tuscaloosa, AL.

He’s quite small for a Div 1 QB, and actually focuses training more on field-goal kicking, but maybe KWhitt can convert him to defense. -

Maybe their QB did not have the arm to reliably get him the ball downfield, or their OL couldn’t hold back the rush more than “two-banana”. Its like having 75-mm guns but very limited gunpowder.

Yes, the FCS Coaches ranked them 8th in Div I FCS. 2017 Big Sky Champs, finished 5th in 2017 FCS poll. No pushover. Sagarin’s final predictor from 2017 does provide an estimate… Utah by 16, including 2.4 pt home advantage.
Not sure you’ll find anyone to take that bet except some guy named Nephi behind the Maverick in Ogden.

Will be near Lincoln City in a couple weeks. We stayed in Yachats last time we went to Oregon Coast — have not made it all the way down to Bandon, yet, but the whole coast is great. Have fun!!
