UCLA, Oregon, Cal, or Stanford came to Salt Lake for a game.  This was not common.  It was always exciting.  Now, virtually every home game is a top team including USC and UW who never came to Salt Lake.

I see only one senior starter, Howard.  I know a few guys will likely be moving on, i.e., Lloyd, Kuithe, Covey, Ford.  But, we are very young across the board.  I hope this season proves to be a good development season for the Utes and next year becomes an amazing year.

Many expected they would return to the Super Bowl.  They are now 3-4 and only scored 3 points yesterday.  
I like the Ravens and they destroyed yesterday.  Crazy things happen in the game of football.
 

Does this mean UCLA’s QB is not going to play?
I can’t see why else it would go up to 6.5 points.

I know we control our own destiny.  If we win the rest of our games and then again in Vegas – we would go to the Rose Bowl.  However, is this the year we want this to happen?  When we go to the Rose Bowl – I want to be a top team playing a top team.

– Our defense needed to slow down the run and simply could not do it.
– We need a new Special Teams coach.  This is the worst they have been in over two decades.

Is football the only major sport where the players are different on offense and defense?
Baseball – One team
Basketball – One team
Soccer – One team
Hockey – One team
Volleyball – One team
I honestly cannot think of another sport where there is a different set of players on offense and defense.  Am I missing something?

Just my opinion.
1. Defense needs to prevent OSU from gaining 200 yards rushing.  We will likely not be able to totally stop their running game.  But, we cannot let them get a lot of chunk plays.
2. We need to hold OSU to some three and outs.  We do not want them controlling the clock and keeping the ball out of our hands.

Our offense gained much-needed confidence.  They now know they can be productive against a good defense.  Prior to then, they didn’t know.  Who knows what USC is.
Confidence is key to success in any sport.  Now our offense knows they are capable.  I hope to see this confidence and success continue on the field this weekend.

Thought the team played well overall.  A game should be judged in its entirety.  Four possession and four scores in the second half.

When they did not make halftime adjustments.  Well – this time they did and the team executed.  Also, I like that we did not play conservatively on offense or defense in the last 10 minutes.
Best half of football we have played in a loooong time.
I thought we were toast at the half.  Boy, I was wrong!!!
