I still can’t believe the Utes coughed up 6 fumbles, lost 3, and threw 3 INTs and STILL won the game. What a performance from the defense. I really wanted to finish that epic 12 minute 4th quarter drive with a TD. And not just because it would have made my prediction really close.

For me, I hate BYU because of religious reasons, too – and it completely has to do with the fans. I’m active LDS and I hate that BYU represents my religion because of all the things Tony listed. Saw the first episode a couple of days ago. Good stuff. Weird seeing DJ Law on there after all the drama with him coming here a few years ago.

According to my UCLA friends, the Bruins perennially underachieve their hype and potential, so hoping that continues. The first conference game at home against USC is definitely huge.

I love all the great articles coming out by the Trib about the players and coaches and I love cheering for this team. So much hard work and dedication goes into our entertainment by these men. I definitely hope that Scalley is on the short list for the (hopefully) distant future when Whit decides to hang em up.

That’s a good point. The WR coach change could be a huge factor for success. Wilson had his issues, but many times the WR corp did not help him out much. I kept looking at the record breaking WR for Colorado (Spruce?) and wondering how to coach up a guy to be like him – though not the most physically talented, he ran crisp routes and got separation.

Since I’ll never be truly worried about the defense as long as Whit is around, it’s good to see the offense showing well in camp for once. Pretty throwing motions, tall receivers, we just might have all the pieces we need at last.

For as much as we laugh that the Buffs aren’t our rival, the game sure plays out that way every year. Inexplicably tight games that seem to go down to last play/drive every time. I fear for the day they beat us again as it will surely cost us a division title once more.

Given that I don’t have faith in any QB coach on our staff to develop our guys a whole lot, I have hope that Troy is bringing with him all the tools he needs, being a JC guy. Love everything I’m hearing about him and if we can just be the 7th or 8th best passing team in the conference to complement our elite D – look out.

Yeah, they put some bleachers up there, so you aren’t standing, but on a bench.

B1G – Ohio St, Michigan St, Wisconsin, Penn St
ACC – Florida St, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Duke
BigXII – Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, TCU

UW getting a lot of love for their potential, but my money is on Stanford and McCaffrey to take the North and I’d be mildly surprised if anyone else did. Oregon is likely down with QB issues but will be interesting to see how much noise the Washington schools can make this year.
