Keneley would be a DE for us. Only see Utah adding him if they really want playable depth. He’s got a good motor and he’s a good kid.

He’s not a draftable prospect. There are a million great athlete tweener frontcourt players who can’t shoot out there.

Wait what. Carsen Ryan similar to Kincaid? How? Kincaid was an uber-athletic big WR who put on extra weight to play TE and had to improve as a blocker and still is limited by his thin frame in the NFL, while Ryan is a big bodied blocking TE who has SOME receiving skills.
UtahMan17 replied to the topic Barton is healthy and ready to play in the forum Football 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Barton has every shot to be drafted as high as Devin Lloyd. Different players, but same combination of NFL physical tools, hard working dedication to improving, and history of production at a very high level. Just hope he can prove the health thing was an aberration.

UtahMan17 replied to the topic New Poll: Rate the coaching staff's 2023 Football Season in the forum Football 4 months ago
I think this was clearly a good coaching job. Earlier in the year there was talk from everyone about how this was Coach Whitt’s best year of coaching ever. Y’all just forget all of that? Whole team was hurt and we beat USC and UCLA, I think that’s pretty incredible. Recency bias will lead everyone to feel negative about it, but this was a really…[Read more]

Some of yall really need to chill out. He’s a missionary, he’s not going to be part of this class. He’s listed at 6’2, 195, hits hard, moves well, and will come back in 2 years. That is a take. If he can’t move well enough for safety he’ll probably be a dang good linebacker.
This is not one to get mad about.

Texas and Alabama are both one loss conference champs. They played each other. Texas won. This isn’t that hard. Texas is in along with the 3 undefeated conference champs.

UtahMan17 replied to the topic Bryson – Zach Wilson comparison in the forum Professional Sports 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Very different quarterbacks. Wilson has top tier arm talent, Barnes does not. Wilson constantly tries to force bad throws and make big plays, Barnes tries to make the easy simple play as often as possible. Wilson is a slippery runner with good acceleration and great escapability but can’t take too many hits, Barnes is a straight ahead runner who…[Read more]

Definitely an unfortunate combo of phrase and logo. Should’ve scrapped the Cam shirts and gone with something else.

tough one. Scalley is tricky enough to do this, but so confident and competitive that id be surprised he forfeit a touchdown from that far away. And i love bryson but it was FAR from a guarantee hed be able to get us into field goal range.
UtahMan17 replied to the topic Vaki should move to offense full-time in the forum Football 6 months, 1 week ago
He lead our team in receptions with 5, and had 9 carries. He’s featured plenty on offense. He’s a little under sized and runs really hard. Not the kind of body you want to give 20 carries to every week, plus Glover and Jackson are good too. I think with a full season in mind it’s best for him to remain a featured rotational guy, and they’re using…[Read more]

All love. Go Utes. Privilege to watch our favorite team be lead by such a warrior and humble person. He won’t be perfect, but he’ll give everything he’s got and just keep getting better. The only thing you can know for sure about Bryson is that he’ll work harder than anyone, keep level headed, and just keep getting better and better. I think with him you have to throw expectations out the window and just enjoy the ride. There will be ups and downs, he has limitations, but he’s probably always the toughest guy on the field and will…[Read more]

He’s bad at it because it’s really hard. NFL teams with the smartest offensive minds in the world mess it up all the time too. The only colleges that are “good” at it are the ones who can just take 2 or 3 of the most talented HS and transfers every single year. Alabama is desperate for good QB play this year. It’s hard. And we’ve had Huntley and…[Read more]

It’s hard for almost everyone to find QBs. Not a specific Utah problem. Teams like LSU and Florida have had elite defenses and skill players for years but never found a good QB to take them over the top. Even Alabama is struggling at QB this year and for the last several years just relied on transfers. If Alabama can’t develop QBs, then you can’t…[Read more]
