So my question about Wilson coming back is that doesn’t Beck run a more RPO offense thats geared towards a QB who is duel threat? wilson can throw but I don’t remember him being fast? someone correct me if im wrong…i feel like wilson would be playing an offense that isn’t best suited for his strengths…aka run.

Here are a few things I would presume were part of Wilson’s decision:
1. He is okay with being a backup for a season
2. He got assurances from Beck that if Wilson actually outplays Dampier during offseason then he could be the starter.
3. Wilson got no real good NIL offers from anywhere that makes transferring worthwhile

It would be interesting if Nate Johnson came back as well. We would have Creed Whittemore, Dampier, Isaac Wilson, and Nate Johnson. Gonna take a look at the film, focus on the fundamentals, see who can take care of the football, play until the whistle is blown, and see who’s ready to back up Cam Rising.

ASU, BYU, KSU and Iowa St. all have starting QBs returning and that means a lot for the success of a team.

Only to end with the wrong guy, a practice hero and real game stage fright, starting and losing a game or two.

ASU, BYU, Iowa State, and either K-State or Colorado. Colorado depends on if Deion stays or not.

I know it. Utah needs to get this guy. It seems like he’d be a game changer for our offense w/ Beck and Dampier.
I’m trying to not get too excited about the prospects of our team w/ him though. So much better when Utah has the underdog mentality and lower expectations.

There’s definitely positives to it. Talented 4* recruit out of high school, got a lot of experience last year (hopefully learned a lot), and showed us some glimpses of his potential. And it’s nice to have more depth at that position.
