Can he play qb too?

He will play in the East vs. West All-American game on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Bowl will be nationally televised, live on NBC at 1:00 PM ET, and will feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.

Glad this one is over. Now the real game is afoot. Will be fun to watch what new direction is taken or not taken. Hoping for the best.

I agree. Pitman never showed any talent even when healthy. If the playbook is too hard to understand year after year maybe it needs to be simplified so the talented young players can get some reps.

I’m old school in thinking the QB position should be merit based. The best QB plays, period! If you suck, you lose your starting position. It was clear that was not the case this year, and that made it extremely frustrating.

All is not well. Mistakes were made, there were poor decisions made. But there were also a lot of injuries, including to all but one QB.

2021 Rose Bowl for me. Held his own against Ohio State’s blue chip receivers and 1st round QB with only a month to learn the position. And managed to get himself a TD catch while he was at it.

Puzzled as to why we didn’t see more of him.

Promising #2 status and mop up duty as long at #1 stays healthy is one thing. The coaches should not have felt obligated to make #2 the interim #1 after the starter was injured, and then #1 after the starter had his season ending injury. In hindsight, certainly, making Wilson the #1 QB seems rather foolish.

He has been a warrior for us. My favorite game was the 2022 Pac 12 championship. He will be missed.

when you lose 7 straight, the thought processes behind a lot of your choices need to be altered. The one that stands out the most to me on offense was the “doesn’t know the playbook” mantra given every time a young kid was kept on the bench in favor of a vet who was failing on the field.

If Wilson transfers it makes things even worse because it cost Rose valuable experience. If Wilson stays at least one of our QBs for next year got some game experience.
