Offense has always been our downfall. The Huntley – Cam teams were great offensively because of their ability to run and pick up first downs. They were great leaders also.
Good teams are built to stop the run. Nick Saban said you can’t win without big plays. He adapted and became a big play offense.

I’ve never once started a thread about the call. I’ve only responded to Utah fans. And I’ve been on Ute Hub for 3+ years even when you guys were at your most successful. I feel like I’ve earned my right to comment on things that I disagree with. And plus I don’t hate Utah. I root for them whenever they’re not playing BYU.
And you might wonde…[Read more]

He needs to move on but I doubt he will and I can think of 20 million reasons why he’ll stay. But. as I’ve said many times, it’s better to jump before you’re pushed. It would be really sad if his legacy was drastically tarnished by his staying too long at the job. But, at the end of the day, he holds all of the cards so it’s really up to him…[Read more]

This is a message board brotha and it’s fun to debate about it. That’s what message boards are for. The penalty is just another one of those things in the rivalry that is fun to talk about. If you don’t want to debate it, simply don’t comment on it. But it’s not childish behavior, it’s just a message board.

Whittingham sounds pretty down in this. It is a reminder that as frustrated as we are on the season none of our frustration can compare to his.

It would have been over on Saturday night but for TDS fans like Ted Lasso and Matt parachuting in here every couple of hours to continually stir the pot. Personally, I’ve never been to or posted on a BYU board but they feel it’s OK to come to hostile territory and start arguments. Simple as that…Many people here have been telling them…[Read more]

Sad if this is Whitt’s last rivalry game. Lavell Edwards enjoyed a thrilling last minute win over Utah in his very last game. Some Utah fans may not have fond memories of that one, but I thought it was a great exciting game and it was a fitting end to a long storied career. A few years Later, Ron McBride enjoyed a rivalry win on his last game…[Read more]

Man, I hope LK gets some pass action the next three weeks. I always look to see if he’s out there. Fan favorite. The phantom holding call on him was complete BS and was as impactful as ZV holding gate.
Hopefully IW is good to go at QB. It’s officially his team if he wants it if the BR rumors are true. No more BS about who’s playing QB, time to…[Read more]

I can’t wait for this season to end. I could care less about a shi** bowl game. We need a complete reset. The only thing I’m curious about at this point is who transfers and who stays.
I’m sure Whitt doesn’t want to go out this way but it is what it is. Scalley is the coach in waiting. We need a whole new look on offense. It’s time to build the…[Read more]

For both sides.
for TSPP fans: You won. Nothing is changing that fact. That is the only thing that matters. Scoreboard is the only smack that means anything. Anything beyond that is fluff.
For Ute fans: We lost. It’s over. Even if it was an obviously wrong call (it wasn’t) nothing can be done to change the result of the game. We could have won,…[Read more]

Lifewise, yes. But they had to sub Shelley, and then Lisk, in when they wanted to run RPO in 2019. That should have been the clearest indicator necessary that Ludwig was going to tip off his play calls based on personnel but it’s not really germane to this thread.

Its probably two separate combined into one. Past players have complained about Under Armor cleats and there is a reason (maybe not this one) most teams that were with UA have left them. Its also more common to have knee / foot issues playing on artificial turf. You will see players in MLS sit out games in Seattle because of the turf.

I believe the 5 yard rule you are referring is only in the NFL

Agreed but you look at other programs in Utah’s realm and it doesn’t seem as bad anywhere else.
