Happy to see it. You’re getting paid huge dollars for results and you’re not producing them. Good luck to Ludwig on his future endeavors but this was overdue. I have to imagine Whit approached him about at least denoting him and he decided to instead resign.

Apples and oranges. Colleges only get 20 hours a week so there’s only so much they can do. And that time is only available during spring ball and the season.

I think this is a very good estimation of the various thought processes and plans up thru the 2024 Baylor injury to Cam.

With benefit of hindsight that is true. I don’t think anyone outside of the program (honestly it might only be Whit, Risings Camp, the AD, and some high level boosters) really knows what happened in 2023 and at this point it is water under the bridge. I have meant to look at this more closely but Utah does not do well in gaining WR separation. I know almost every player, line or secondary, offense or defense, looks to confuse or mislead the opponent for a second in the first seconds after a snap. Yeah, I find myself wondering about this, especially this season.

Seems like when the other team is on offense, their receivers often have a ton of space. This has been true throughout the year. I know the defense has been pretty good at stopping other teams from scoring, but our pass defense has looked pretty bad.

Oklahoma didn’t waste anytime as this was his first year. His contract is through 2026 at $1.1M per year.

BTW, Ludwig makes $1.8M per year which ranks him third nationally among offensive coordinators.

Fair point, we also know they took his “C”, and who knows what level of involvement they wanted. We also don’t know what was said in the players only. Usually in 23′ he was with the other QB’s and this season that was the case also before last night.

That’ll never happen here. Football, and sports in general, just aren’t as important in Utah as they are in Oklahoma.
