Good post – you make a lot of good points. It truly did become a throwaway year with the illnesses and injuries. But I still don’t see the progress that comes from good coaching. These guys aren’t P5 caliber players, but they can still improve and they haven’t.

I was able to watch the team train at PCMR yesterday. As a former ski racer, believe me when I say these guys (and gals) are really damn good.

Unfortunately this massive inferiority complex is part of the state of Utah’s culture. I see it in our fanbase as well, though not to the same extent. It’s the most annoying part of Utah culture IMO.

Being on lists like this will especially help with the portal this spring. I’m thinking we will make some huge additions via the portal.

Can you imagine how difficult it is to walk a decent recruit through the Huntsman Center on his official visit and have to say “you see these thousands of seats? There won’t be anyone in them to watch you. You should come play here!”
