I’m not a Jazz fan and I was pretty critical of him in the final years of his career because it seemed the game of basketball had passed him by and he wasn’t willing to change. Rumor is that there were other strings attached to that money (specifically, around treatment of gay students) that BYU-P didn’t want to sign up for. That’s the real reason they turned it down.

Nobody is suggesting he be bought out. Some people are just trying to build the case against him for the next time we don’t make the tournament and his buyout is cheaper.

My thoughts: We’re damn good at developing players. We’re slightly above average at recruiting them.
