Colorado is 0-8 in their last 8 games when bowl eligibility was on the line. They have some major demons to exorcise in this game… more than we do. 

I feel like we should be talking more about this. Such a precipitous decline is so rare. Admittedly I haven’t seen or read much about Colorad9… what’s behind this turnaround? Did they get key injuries? Did the staff lose the locker room? Or did their schedule just get a lot harder in the back half? 

Closer than I ever expected it to be, TBH.

Ballard is not even in the same universe as Blackmon when it comes to being a liability on defense. Blackmon is the worst defensive starter by far. Oregon finally figured this out and is going to pick on him mercilessly the rest of the night. 

He’s going to be an f-ing rockstar. He’ll take some lumps but he’s going to be good. 

Any time you have a defense like Utah’s, you’re giving yourself a chance in any game. 
I don’t think the offense is going to be world beaters or anything, but people are acting like Huntley and Moss are irreplaceable. They’re not. I think Shyne is capable of 100+ and Shelley may put up a better QB rating than Huntley has been. 

But they have to vacate all those conference championships and NCAA tournament wins… oh wait. 

I believe they also lost a starting linebacker for the season. 

For those who know how all this is going to play out, I’ll happily take your tickets off your hands.

Our situation at center is the worst I’ve seen since larry’s first season. 

Unfortunately no one else does. Utah up 9 on Maine deep in the 2nd.

He’s right about that. In fact, that’s an understatement. This team will be very fun to watch because of the athleticism. 
But I’m still concerned about defense, outside shooting, and rebounding. Those three things are why our ceiling is the NIT.

I think this team will be inconsistent but wildly entertaining. They’ll beat a few really good teams and lose to a few bad ones. I’d say NIT is a good bet. I’m just really excited that basketball season is upon us!

Not playing for much anymore? Say wut? Last I heard were still on top of the south, and 2 wins plus an ASU loss gives us the division championship.

This is an issue I mentioned after a past game that is still cropping up: Low-percentage plays in situations where you need a high-percentage one. I’m talking about 3rd and short or 3rd and goal situations. Nothing frustrates me more than an endzone fade on 3rd and goal, or going long on 3rd and short.

The only thing I’m taking off Whit’s shoulders is the tendency to lose when he’s in first place. I bet you’d see the same trend in almost every team in the country. If you’re in first place, it’s probably because you played a lot of bad teams early… eventually you’ll lose because all you’ve got left to play are good teams.
