Where are you seeing that? It’s not on their site, Twitter feed, or the feeds of any of their reporters.

Not that I necessarily doubt it, but I’m not seeing anything but vague rumors from random dudes.

Conference Champions only. Alabama beating #1 Georgia in the final was more impressive than any FSU victory and Texas as this point is considered a quality loss. FSU had the chance to change a lot of minds last night and laid a giant stinky egg.

And by your logic, Alabama isn’t a playoff team.

I’ve been saying this for years. G5 shouldn’t be ranked unless they’ve played 4 P5 games.

You can’t tell me this Utah team wouldn’t be undefeated with a G5 schedule.

Hell, there are 15 P5 teams who’d be undefeated with those weak ass schedules.

Had Oregon won…then I could see the PAC-12 being left out for: Michigan, FSU, Alabama, Texas. But Oregon didn’t, Washington did, and the choice is easy.

Yes…and no. Bowls came about before tv deals and big money. You’d play your conference games. Maybe a couple OOC games vs close by teams. But you’d never get to see Utah play a SEC or Big 10 or ACC team. You could in a bowl game.
