  • Two PAC12 backup freshmen QBs had great games yesterday. Fefita from Arizona and Mendoza from Cal looked great. It was the 2nd game for Fefita, but he looked good against UQ the previous week. I think what bothered me the most was that Mendoza led Cal to 40 points against the same Oregon State defense that basically shut us out until the game…[Read more]

  • UCLA beat a very good WSU team and the score doesn’t really show how they dominated. They held WSU to about 215 yards total offense and UCLA got almost 500 yards offense against WSU. UCLA rushed for 192 yards compared to the 9 they rushed against the Utes.

Unfortunately, none of this makes up for the debacle at OSU.

    Hopefully, our offense…[Read more]

  • We all know that we have an elite defense. Could we be even better in 2024? The only senior starter is Broughton. He is the only player that we know won’t be back next season. There is a possibility of one or more players leaving for the NFL. I suspect Bishop is most likely, but I wouldn’t say that is a sure thing. Ried is a possibility as…[Read more]

  • I understand your feelings. But, I don’t want to see Whitt go out with this as his last season. I don’t think he wants to leave under these circumstances either.

  • There has been a lot of speculation in the last 24 hours as to what has happened over the last 9 months. The fact is – I doubt any of us really know the entire truth. I sure don’t.

The most important thing now is how will the coaching staff take control of the locker room before this becomes divisive to the team. Whitt needs to figure out how…[Read more]

  • So, it’s even worse. 🙁

  • Yes, our offense is terrible! Injuries have played a big role. But, I highly doubt USC, OU, or UW would be at 125th if they lost their QB. They would not be as good, but 125th – really.

Our coaches made a number of mistakes in judgment and long-term planning. I am not saying we should fire anyone. Every manager or coach makes mistakes. Once…[Read more]

  • These two guys are legendary Utes. I remember the USC game in SLC like it was yesterday. Cam left everything on the field in that amazing win. Kuithe could have gone to the NFL after 2021 and he stayed. He wanted more for his Utes. Sadly, he suffered a serious injury and he may never play Pro.

Cam and Brant, thanks for everything you have…[Read more]

  • I will probably get some downvotes for this and that’s okay. I am just expressing how I feel and not how anyone else should feel.

I think the whole secrecy policy that we have is BS. I thought that 5 years ago and I really think it now. How much has the secrecy helped our offense? Would we have just got 150 yards total offense if everyone…[Read more]

  • Let’s assume that Cam plays in the Cal game, but no other offensive starters come back; i.e., Kuithe, Jackson, Pittman, etc. How much of a difference would a “healthy” Cam make?

Of course – no one knows, but I think we all have our own thoughts. Here are mine.

I am sure we would see some improvement in the offensive production. Cam will…[Read more]

  • Yep, that’s the question my wife has asked at least 100 times. I try to explain and she never truly understands. She is a great person, but not a great football fan. 🙂 My wife also struggles with the concept of punting. Oh well – that’s why I don’t watch Utah games with her.

  • I will watch a non Utah football game with almost anyone. However, when it comes to watching Utah football games – there are a limited number of people who I can watch the game with. To me, Utah football is NOT a social event. I will only watch Utah games with serious Utah fans. I cannot stand to watch the games with people who ask silly…[Read more]

  • I have to admit that if I had that much money, I would likely be donating to charities like TTT, anti domestic violence charities, etc. I hate the NIL overall because it has become something that was not intended. However, for Utah to stay relevant, they must play the game. But, I will spend my charity dollars elsewhere. I love football, but…[Read more]

  • Here are a couple of things I heard on the radio this morning concerning our QB situation. These are not official statements from Whitt or Lud. But, it comes from things that PK/DJ have heard. So, take it for what it is worth.

    1. The reason Cam has not played is because not all of the doctors have agreed on his status. One doctor says he is…[Read more]

Just set me to ignore. I will not dwell on BYU, but from time to time I may post about the CB response. I just find CB posts about Utah to be funny and sometimes entertaining. I don’t post about the BYU football team, coaches, or players.

  • I had my doubts about Wilson prior to this season. He is a bit smaller and I was concerned he may only be highly ranked because of his brother.

I have watched him play many times and he has a very strong arm and he is a baller. He will run and is not afraid to take a hit. He led his team to 42 points against the 2nd ranked HS football team in…[Read more]

Scalley will always be considered a defensive guru. When he becomes head coach, I hope he finds a great offensive coordinator and a separate QB coach. Scalley will be able to recruit the best LDS players, possibly even better than Whitt.

  • No Cam, Kuithe, and Jackson and we may win three more games. I do not expect to see Kuithe again as a Ute. I hope Cam and Jackson are back ASAP. Who knows? This whole thing and the games Whitt play is annoying. But, it is what it is and I will be a loyal Ute forever.

  • ProudUte replied to the topic Kuithe setback? in the forum Football 1 year, 9 months ago

Kuithe stayed at Utah when he had NFL opportunities. I wish the best for him regardless if he ever plays for the Utes again. Brant deserves a chance to play in the NFL.

Every time we get an LDS, Utah County kid – CB posters go crazy. I took a peek at the CB this morning to see how they responded. Here are a few of their responses.

    – Blamed the former D coordinator. Things will change now with Hill.
    – Utah will get killed by Oregon, USC, UW, and CU – then he will change his mind.,
    – Teenagers are stupid and so…[Read more]
