Agree – good with CBs. Seems almost like, ‘let’s see, who wants to take ST’s?’ afterthought. As noted below, Jay Hill was great. My argument is that the coverage is on the coaches. Kickers, as noted below, have been generally lucky, but glad we got the CU guy transferring in.

No replies needed. It’s all correct here. Haha, not really. Just my guesses. All for entertainment. Flame away.
Keep in mind that we have like 5-6 of the top 10 qbs in the nation in the PAC12. Offenses will be flying. Multiple qbs will have 4,000+ yards. There will likely only be 1 or 2 RBs over 1,000. Both of those are hot takes. Enough games…[Read more]

Definitely feel a momentum swing. The program is at a high still with room to go. This recruiting class will take a year or two to become starters (transfer guys ready to go now) but gives us even more depth which is needed.
I was really optimistic and excited in 2021 hoping for a 10-win season and hopes of a PAC12 championship and it happened…[Read more]

He was still recovering from his shoulder injury and they went with Brewer and his 4 years experience starting at Baylor. In hindsight, it was a miss as Brewer was selfish and the team didn’t like him and fought for Cam (was still a captain). IIRC, it was neck and neck and Brewer just got the nod since he was more or less ‘1-and-done’ and they had…[Read more]

DataUte replied to the topic Let's not pretend that this team was awesome before the RB game in the forum Football 2 years, 6 months ago
I agree with most you said, but I don’t like the ‘we backed into the CCG’ rhetoric. Sure, there were some that if they won, they were in (Oregon). But if you change the schedule around and we play Oregon St. last and had to win, we would have ‘won our way in’. Everyone put together the season and all had access to the same tie-breakers. We earned…[Read more]

DataUte replied to the topic Nate Johnson the future of the team? in the forum Football 2 years, 6 months ago
Agree. Even with talent or ability, Rising was getting #1 reps and Barnes #2, so only scraps or special plays for NJ. Still think it’s Johnson or Rose competing for QB1 and Barnes probably either is 2 or moves to 3 or see if he wants to try a different position. But schemes will be mich different for Johnson (or Rose) but there just weren’t enough…[Read more]

<edited> I misread who the previous message was directed to, took it personally, and acted like a douche canoe. Sorry for being that. And forgetting this is a message board to talk about our favorite team. Go Utes!

I don’t really want to get too much into politics, but this is a political question. I didn’t grow up in Utah, don’t live in Utah (my wife did grow up there). I know about the audit after Coach K cancelled a few games with TDS and I’ve heard the argument – I feel it’s such a tired argument:
If we don’t play BYU-P every year, they’re going to…[Read more] -

Do they just agree to a season and work out a date or is it like football that they pick a date when they sign the contract?
Thinking of travelling to that game, so I just wanted to see when it might be. -
