First time I’ve ever heard an Utah fan say that he/she has a soft spot for Oregon. If it wasn’t for Knight’s financial doping, they’d be in Oregon State’s place. The funny thing is that Oregon State has an alumnus, Jensen Huang, that makes Phil Knight like one of those people you see pushing a shopping cart around downtown Salt Lake City.…[Read more]

oh, well that makes it all better because he is a proven commodity at WR. /s

I don’t think so. The better teams won. Boise St and ASU should not have been given a bye. But Ohio St is better than Oregon and Oregon only beat OSU on a technicality that they already fixed. And Georgia had a backup QB in…which is a huge fuck you to FSU. lol.

Georgia wasn’t a top 4 team with that QB either.

What this will do is they will…[Read more]

While I have a soft spot for Oregon and don’t particularly like Ohio State, watching them get ass blasted after getting unlimited NIL funds from Grandpa Phil was gratifying. Being the poster child for the NIL era has it’s negatives.

The 4 top seeds all lost.

Watching the SEC champion go down to Notre Dame doesn’t hurt my feelings one bit. Apparently Georgia didn’t put enough NIL/and or practice time into their second string QB during the season. Frankly he looks a bit lost when ND sends pressure, which is frequently. 3 min left and Notre Dame is running the clock out, up 23 – 10.

He’s coming in as a WR.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Nate Johnson is back!! in the forum Football 7 months ago

guys, he’s played on two teams and has done nothing for either one. I’m supposed to believe the problem has been his offensive coaches and not his own talent?

    Not buying it.

Nate should have been the starter over Barnes two years ago!

I am unable to root for Texas and Sarkisian anything to do with the tds is out or me!

I am not defending NIL. I am saying that if we are going to have NIL (which we do) and there is no real structure, complaining about tampering is whiney. NIL is officially sponsorship money. Sponsors are not subject to rules about talking to people. If Ken Garff Auto Mall wants to talk to a player at another school and offer him sponsor money if…[Read more]

It’s great for everyone involved when Johnson is back in action.

“You have a small RB/QB with speed, lets run it up the middle” ~ Ludwig

  • Not a bad idea. There’s not a way to check it unless I do some database queries. I used to be able to calculate the most “liked” posts, but that was a performance eater. I’ll see if I can come up with some fun stats.

You are correct if Utah is running pro style or two TE sets…but the spread option is more wide open and needs speed. Nate Johnson has speed.

  • Tony-
Just curious if you have the ability to list the most commented or trafficked posts from 2024. Kind of a fun year end info list.
The Tanauvasa to byu post had me wondering if it was the winner.

Being undefeated after 13 games played has got to be both a blessing and a curse. It’s good because you found a way to win all your games, but it’s also bad because complacency will likely set in and players are just going to think they can show up and win.

Oregon looks like they have some life now, but it may be too little too late.

  • Max replied to the topic ASU vs Texas in the forum Football 7 months ago

There was a targeting call that was pretty obvious and in my opinion, textbook targeting but it wasn’t confirmed. I think if it was called ASU would have won

  • EagleMountainUte replied to the topic Rose Bowl in the forum Football 7 months ago

Well if ESPN had their way it would be nothing but SEC school hosting the first round games.
Yeah Notre dame, Ohio state occasionally.

Your right! Like the old say goes, the regular season begins in the post season.

Ohio St had this game circled on their calendar when the CFP schedule was announced. They are not about to make the same mistake twice. I truly believe they felt they were the better team when they lost to Oregon and I think they believe it, and I believe that as…[Read more]
