If only Josh Gordon had been able to keep his head on straight we could have had another option on Offense in 2011-2012. I wonder how that would have changed things with Gordon lined up on one side with Dres Anderson on the other.

I assume it was set to atttact a lot of late WVU action late. Grier’s status will affect how much.
Or something.

Just leaving a marker for visiting Mountaineers fans. We hope you’ll stick around and we can trade info on our teams since neither has probably seen the other play much this year.
Top question for me is the status on Grier. Heard he is a stud but injured. What happened and what’s the prognosis?

Not sure if we discussed it, but I think Shaw gave Sione Lund a waiver. He might be able to play in fall because he redshirted this year. Good man.

Pump the brakes just a touch on his time at Wiscy. Gary took over a team that had just gone to its third straight Rose Bowl. His best wins include Nebraska, Minnesota, and Rutgers in 2014, and Iowa, Minnesota, BYU-P, and Indiana in 2013. None of those teams ended up ranked.
I like Gary, he is a good guy. He is a tough-minded Defensive coach…[Read more]

Puget Ute replied to the topic Why all this talk about Taylor leaving? in the forum Football 7 years, 8 months ago
If he leaves on his own we are screwed, but will probably find a way to recover.
If he leaves because he is pushed out, then our program top to bottom is a bigger dumpster fire than Tennessee and everybody needs to get fired and replaced.TT ain’t going anywhere, and he was a homerun hire for Utah.

Duhwayne replied to the topic Scalley’s role with GA back on the staff in the forum Football 7 years, 8 months ago
GA has not been less than head coach since leaving Utah after the Sugar Bowl. Even if he intends to slot back in as a position coach, people used to driving the car don’t sit in back very well. If I were Whitt I would avoid standing close to him near bus stops. He’s outgrown his usefulness just as Kalani did and his record last year was about the…[Read more]

I hope he takes Alex Grinch him. Leach Offense plus Grinch Defense plus Tennessee recruits will be a lot of fun. And that will get one of the best Defensive minds out of the PAC-12.
Edit- this was supposed to go under the Leach to Tenn thread. Not sure why it posted here.

Duhwayne replied to the topic I hope Fesi Sitake doesn't go to BYU in the forum Football 7 years, 8 months ago
I could see Arod getting better but not great production. They could have a great power run with Ula if their OL wasn’t so soft. I think they’ll need to start from there and build up. BYU’s bigger problem is their fans are entitled children who want to win like they did in the WAC but against top shelf teams.
Ultimately, I think this will cost…[Read more]

Duhwayne replied to the topic todd graham vs kwhitt in the forum Football 7 years, 8 months ago
ASU made a mistake firing Graham. The buyout was $12 million too. I don’t know the booster situation but if I were the Huntsmans or the Eccles and Hill did that in the most competitive coach hiring season in 15 years, I would tear up my checkbook.

Puget Ute replied to the topic Tyler Huntley just might work out for us… in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
Total yardage is a poor indicator. We had 4 OL and an RB who are on NFL rosters this year.
Our shiny new Oh-Fense is taking shape and will kick butt next year. Our passing game is quite a bit more effective, and Huntley is becoming a cold-blooded assassin. His Yards Per Attempt and completion percentages will put him in elite company next year.

Some stats worth sharing, in line with what Kyle Whittingham said about Tyler Huntley. The Utah sophomore ranks second in the Pac-12 and 15th in the FBS in total offense per game (302.9). Huntley’s 65.4% completion rate is third in the Pac-12 and 13th nationally. #Utes #Pac12FB
