Seems like with any sort of defense they have played it has been a struggle. Could say the same for Utah I guess. West Virginia defense gives up a lot of yards on the ground so it should just be a continuation of the Colorado game plan.

Ohio st offense is electric and exciting but has kept Wisconsin in it. The Wisconsin offense is hard to watch and frustrating. The Buckeyes have been “badgering” them all night. Yet here it is a one score game.

I see the arguement for using Erickson as that. The man has accomplished so much and wanted to just slide easily into retirement. GA I believe is still hungry for Whitts position. Personally I think it undermines Scalleys authority a little. Add in all of the other major cons I can’t overlook.

Edit GA is no Erickson so not a fair comparison.

I have read some of the hypotheticals but I can’t help to defend Scalley a little. As much as we excuse TT for things this season. Scalley deserves more than an equal treatment. Taylor had probably the weakest OL of the bunch and maybe a backfield just starting to build some momentum.

But I agree with everything you said. You could put the same excuses that all of the others OC’s dealt with on this season. The only asterisks is that Taylor had much better talent top to bottom sans Oline.

I actually wished they took more shots on first down. My BIL and me saw no Safety in the second half or single high Safety. Limitations of TWilliams is what I said at the time but he did drop in some pretty passes. The one to Simpkins I believe was so pretty.
