“The key to life is low expectations.”
There is a scarry amount of truth to this . At least when it comes to things you have no control over. -

This. The play of the defense solidified this today. Asu had something like over 530 yards or something like that. Seriously the D got pushed around and plain just got thier butt kicked.
The offense wasn’t much better, but with Huntley out I can sort of understand . But the defense seriously made the team look like a 6 – 6 team ..if even that… -

I think always having caution to Utah’s success is wise, while allowing ourselves to have fun and celebrate recent success.
Each week gives another week for teams to figure out how to play Utah. For example, the bunch formation on offense is new and the teams that faced it didn’t really know how to defend it fully. But 4 or 5 games of it on…[Read more] -

I’d love to see Utah win, but I have a hard time seeing a great team like Stanford losing 2 in a row. Maybe – Utah matches up better against Stanford than against WSU and Washington, but I have my doubts Utah gets a win.

A few funny responses in the comments to the tweet:
“Can we PLEASE end the use of the term Cougar/Coug. Its a disgusting term that reinforces patriarchal stigmas against womyn who r attracted to younger men.”
“UW needs to stop using Husky because it’s insensitive to young boys who wear husky size jeans.” -
SLC-UteFan replied to the topic BYU played well. The win was not a fluke. in the forum Football 6 years, 9 months ago
I know some people won’t like what I have to say, but I enjoyed watching this game. Not because I like BYU, but because I just like it when a significant underdog beats another team by playing smashmouth football .I mean Wisc was supposed to dominate the LOS, but they didn’t .
I like Kilani a lot and am happy for him. As for BYU, I don’t like them…[Read more] -

Huge play. Given that Big 10 power teams like Michigan are known for superb Oline play and recruiting, that makes it a huge play!

SLC-UteFan replied to the topic My impressions of today's scrimmage. in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
I had the exact same thoughts as you.
First off, who is the receiver, #25, Jaylen Dixon? I mean, how many scores did he have today? Two? Three? I didn’t keep track, but he had several I know. Although I think it was him who popped the ball up in the end-zone for an interception. But it was very wet then and so that was likely the reason. But…[Read more] -

I was there. I am terrible at football analysis, so take this with a grain of salt. I just go because I enjoy it, and it breaks up a boring day.
It seems to me that the defense is definitely ahead of the offense. No surprises there. QBs were not impressive. All threw into tight coverage. Huntley was picked off a few times. Running game executed…[Read more] -

I find the open practices and especially the scrimmages to be much more valuable to attend than the spring game.

“But, he seems like a kid that wants to make sure he will succeed before putting himself out there. “
This seems true about Tupai. Remember he committed about a month late after February just to make sure his decision was right, IIRC. Also, I think he requested to redshirt his freshman year. It seems he takes his choices seriously. -

I remember that game! I actually watched it. It was the Miami Dolphins if I remember it correctly. Very early 80s if I remember right. Can’t remember who they played, however. Very interesting experiment.

I attend as many spring scrimmages and practices as I can including the Spring Game, with the Spring Game being the least interesting of them all. But the scrimmages are great, and really help pass the time. But when they are over, there is a big black hole in my love of football until fall camp.

I had the exact same impression of Blackmon when I heard the interview. Dang that kid talks well, is intelligent, confident, and respectful. Seems like a model of what you want your college-age kids to sound like.
