ESPN just reporting that Rising will be eligible to play in the bowl game.

Can someone tell me how that works?

Pace needs to get Zack on the phone right away and let him know he should sit out because he has nothing to play for. <eyeroll>

Can’t believe there are that many bowls. Some people want a 16 team playoff?

So we spend 8 months out of the year pining for more football, wishing there was more football, complaining that there’s not enough football…and then when someone proposes a plan that would create more football, we say that it’s a bad idea. Good hell. SMH.

I guarantee the seniors do not want to end their college careers with a loss.

It does hurt, but the beauty of playing the long game is in the realization that there will be other, even more talented teams in Utah’s future.

This may have been the best team we’ve had to date, but I guarantee there will be even better teams coming.

Thank you – I feel that average stars is more relevant when comparing recruiting classes. Schools that have smaller classes get punished in the traditional “total stars” way of comparing. Interesting stat about this year’s Heisman. The 3 QB finalists are all transfers. This is the nature of the recruiting/retention game nowadays.

Hence the reason I say that having coaches who can successfully recruit in the transfer portal is at least as critical as being able to recruit freshmen and Jucos.

You shouldn’t have posted this. Once KSL/Deseret News get hold of this information, they’ll use it to show why Utah has no chance of winning the game.

Question: Why is the bowl game “meaningless”? How is its meaning any different from any other non-CFP bowl game?

I played a college sport. When you’re a young man (or woman) representing your school at the NCAA level, every game is meaningful.
