when you eliminate the guessing game and variety even the worst defense can be stout. Theres so little doubt as to the play thats coming that they can lock in with little fear of being burned for selling out. Its something that is going to drive me off the edge. I dont mind being run heavy on a day like today but god damn keep them honest

ive had a growing bout of pessimism about this season ever since USC sliced through our defense. But now, the reason behind the feeling is very primarily injuries. Seems like every season several of our tier 1 key guys are missing extended time, and depth is obliterated behind them. Making me wonder if there is something to what Stevie T said about how hard they ride guys in camp…..everything needs to be considered at this point.

(which I think he will). Not easy to make the choice he did, and by all reports he was happy and content with his decision to retire. I just hope if he makes the decision to come out of retirement it ends up being a positive one for him and not one he felt forced to make and leaves a bad taste in his mouth
