This game is not getting the attention it deserves. UW (1st in pass O in the nation) is a bad matchup for UO (117th in pass D in the nation). Plus the rivalry aspect. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the Ducks lose. It would be deflating for UO, and put to rest all the playoff talk. That’s a good sign for us.

Oregon has looked very good since their abysmal loss against Georgia. They’re not invincible (is anybody in college football?), but winning against a top-10 team on the road is never easy. And despite the lower odds, it is going to be a tough pill to swallow if we lose at Eugene. Not the loss itself, but the season implications.

Obviously would’ve preferred better weather, but it’s not a dampener at all. It’s only going to make the victory that much sweeter. Sure, we could lose, but still worth it. Whitt had mentioned in his presser that we’ll know more about Rising on Tues or Wed. I don’t see any official news, and I doubt there will be one. Does anybody have a latest update? Do we even know if Rising is practicing, or is that info under the wraps too?

I have no knowledge of how bad the injuries are, and who is going to play, and who is not. But hypothetically, does the team that beat Wazzu beat UA? We’re playing at home, so we have that going for us. But UA looks formidable, especially their O, despite their poor record. Curious as to what Utehub thinks.

I know it’s all about CFP rankings starting this week, but still a fun exercise. UO, USC, UCLA should be a lock for 8,9,10, respectively, so having us 11 would be cool. Not sure tha has ever happened – 4 conf teams in a row. But I think Kansas St and Ole Miss (and maybe even Penn St) will be ahead, keeping us at 13 or 14. I’m fine with the 13-15…[Read more]

ECU is 2-0 in BigXll conf play with wins against giants TSPP and UCF, with matchups coming up against Cincinnati and Houston. ECU will be undisputed BigXll champs if they go 4-0.Am I doing this right?

Wazzu was a coin toss for me before USC (i.e. a 5), but after that win and Wazzu’s performance vs Oregon St, I’m at a 6.5. Mostly because it’s a road game, and Pullman will be hostile, and Wazzu will be looking to prove a point.
