People skills might be putting it lightly. Some of the stories are bizarre, but I loved those teams. Truly the golden years of Utah basketball.

I’ll have to check out that interview. My fanboy read on the situation is Brewer is insurance in case Rising doesn’t fully recover in time. I’m hyped for JQJ as well. Vince Young type QB and playmaker…yes, please.

Brewer’s stats aren’t great. Low 60’s in completion rate and TD to int ratio is between 2/3 to 1. His stats look alot like Bentley’s did at SC and against worse competition, not compelling at all. I would hope Rising could at least produce on this level and would offer a higher ceiling.

The only WR I have seen have trouble getting separation is Enis. The WR were solid to good against even top P12 competition with Huntley at QB. Quarterbacking and OL were the issue in 2020, not WR.

Room is more full than mentioned. Money Parks and Makai Cope will be really good. Question is how soon will they break in. I think we need a vertical threat, but beyond that I think we’re in good hands.

We see it the same way. Hard to wait for a BYU receiver to come open though and Zach has thrown to alot of tight windows sometimes resulting in picks. They had all day to get open this year given BYU oline superiority over poor competition. They played alot of backyard football and Zach was the beneficiary. Indeed, need to replace Jaylen Dixon. Would like him to come back, but need deep threat receiver.

Moot point with Dart yes, however it’s the approach taken with Tuttle and Costelli (1 qb per class) that I’m interested in. It may be indicative of a strategy that we’re taking. The OL had to be the motivating factor and they haven’t been a mitigating factor.
