F for Barnes
F- for Mokofisi
Take those two out of the game and we would have had the game in the bag at the end of the third quarter

You are both right. Maybe Barnes has been clearly better in practice, but if that was the case, why keep putting Nate in? Seems like the coaches weren’t sure, so they went with both until Barnes showed that he didn’t have what it takes mentally to get it done. The plays were there for him to make, and he didn’t make them.

Elephant in the room: The two QB system has once again been proven to be a mistake. It was unfair to both Barnes and Nate (and the rest of the team) to switch those guys in and out like that. Pick a guy and go with them until it is apparent they aren’t the guy, then put the other guy in and live with it.
Coaching: terrible first-half coaching,…[Read more]

Knowing Whitt, it’s probably more about kindness than ego. He just wants to give the older guys a shot because he feels like he owes it to them. That’s my guess. Maybe he doesn’t think that consciously, but deep down I’m sure it’s something like that.

totally agree. Last season, Glover looked good but the second he was touched he toppled like a house of cards. He’s supposedly improved this year, so we’ll see this weekend I guess. I would also love to see Curry get a shot. He looked like potentially our best back last year until he got hurt.

Not sure why you posted this here. His injury had nothing to do with anything the team did (assuming those who poster here are correct). It was a non-football injury.

IOW, you don’t disagree with me, you just don’t know what necessary means.
A necessary condition is something that must happen in order for something else to happen. If the necessary thing does not happen, the other thing cannot happen. Bernard is a nice piece. He helps our team. He might be a sufficient condition to success, but he isn’t a…[Read more]

Bernard is nice to have but not necessary. Now it’s time to find out if glove has learned how to stay on his feet

Does it matter? No, it does not. Rational people will see that it’s one or two idiots on twitter posting this stuff.
Anyone who regularly posts on twitter just for fun (and not as part of their job) is not the sort of person I would want to be around.

That is probably true about Barnes.

I would love to see Rising come in for the first quarter, and the first quarter only (regardless of the score), just to get his feet wet. Then I would like to see Barnes take the entire 2nd quarter himself, and Johnson take the 3rd quarter himself. The 4th quarter should be nothing but running the ball (maybe a pass or two on third downs and long…[Read more]

So how did our WRs perform in game 1? I saw a highlight where Pittman dropped a pass, and obviously, I saw Parks’s touchdown, but I know very little outside of that. Box scores seems to suggest that Mikey had a good game.
What I really want to know is this: Does it look like our WR group has improved this year? It’s probably too early to answer…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic How were things during the game, like the chat and site performance? in the forum Ute Hub Site 1 year, 11 months ago
In previous years, I have been, at times, unable to load the chat or the website on my computer. Even when kind of working it would take several minutes to load and was often sluggish once loaded.
This time around I don’t recall having any such issues. MUCH BETTER. Great work Tony!

Yep. Wilson was just a hair above competent IMO. He was a big time competitor, but he was incapable of making the majority of throws he could have made as a QB. Wynn was better than Wilson until he got hurt IMO… but he played against weaker competition, so its hard to say.

I haven’t seen a BYU fan predicting they’ll win the Big12. I also haven’t seen a Utah fan predicting they’d win the Big12 year one (that may change now that it looks like the Big 12 sucks nutsack).

TCU’s defense was absolutely pathetic in that game. It didn’t look like they even knew what they were doing out there. Either Colorado is on a different planet athletically, or TCU was completely unprepared for this game defensively.
