He finished both the CAL and SC games. I don’t think there has been a game where he hasn’t had to limp to the sidelines at least once.
It’s not just the hits. Every time a tackler gives the ankle a twist while he’s on the ground aggravates it.

If you have to tout your favourite team’s accomplishments to its own fanbase, you aren’t a big brand.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Wind will have an impact in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
Hourly forecast shows wind out of the SSW above 15 mph until 4pm. Showers until 1pm, decreasing to intermittent until 3pm. High of 52 around kickoff. Typical Western Washington weather in November. I grew up playing Soccer and Football in that crap. Completely soaked to the bone, wet socks and shoes make your feet swell, and the wind chill…[Read more]

Why does Barnes keep getting blamed for Oregon State? Johnson started that game and played so poorly Barnes was brought in, moved the ball, but got knocked out of the game after two targeting hits. Barnes also put up similar stats against Penn State as Rising.
Man, the Legend of Cam grows every day. Pretty soon they’ll replace Chuck Norris’s…[Read more]

don’t screw around with lightweight raingear. Stop by the Helly Hansen store and stock up on neoprene. It’ll keep you dry while working as a decent windbreak. If the wind is coming from the South off Lake Washington, it will tear through that stadium.

That would be my preference since anything from Southcenter still has to navigate northbound traffic. In my youth, we would periodically do a half day in Bellevue and then go north on the 405 past Redmond and catch one of those state roads/mini-freeways that took you right to Northgate. I don’t remember the road number though.

Ryynoo’s probably the best resource. But I did want to add that about 10-15 years ago, people I knew who lived along the 405 would either drive to Northgate or Southcenter and take public trans the rest of the way instead of dealing with the bridges.
I don’t know if that is still a viable option but anything you can do to avoid the I-5 will…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic College QB NFL Draft Rankings in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
An NFL receiver can’t get open in under 2 seconds unless the DB falls down. The quick passing game that Nix has utilized to put Utah on it’s heels the last two years just doesn’t work. If you can’t get through 4 or 5 of your progressions in 4 seconds or less in the pros, you will fail.
Nix makes his money off pre-snap reads right now. He won’t…[Read more]

He’s a little on the short side and doesn’t possess an “NFL” arm. He’s never shown that he can hit the deep ball consistently and also has never really shown that he can beat DB’s in tight windows in the 18-30 yard range.
That assessment doesn’t detract in any way from what he was able to accomplish at Utah. Just that the requirements for an…[Read more]

At least Gino got drafted. Charlie Ward never even got a flyer from an NFL team.

similar yearly rainfall but the convergence zone for Seattle starts at Arlington and goes south until you meet up with the lee from the Olympics. Same reason Forks is one of the wettest places in the country and Sequim one of the driest, even though they are within an hour by car.
Whatcom County, especially on the coast gets more extreme cold…[Read more]

The only thing predictable about Seattle weather in November is that it is going to suck.
Bad weather favors the home team since it is more familiar to them, just like altitude is more familiar to Utah.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic CFP Ranking Theory in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
Actually, it would be them to both win out, the Oregon wins the rematch in the CCG giving two 12-1 teams for the committee to consider.
Then the committee would deem that neither deserved to be in the playoff and promote 2 loss Alabama for the 4th spot. Because, Alabama

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Utah #18 in CFP Week 2 in the forum Football 1 year, 8 months ago
SOS took a big hit last week. Florida looks like a 5-7 team and Baylor could find themselves at 3-9 so OOC isn’t as strong as hoped. Currently 0-2 against ranked teams, since SC and UCLA dropped out. Beating a 2 win team at home isn’t going to move the needle as much as a 4 win team on the road does.
There is always some maneuvering to create…[Read more]

I believe SC also bought out the mortgage(s) on the two houses he had when at Oklahoma.
