Damn son…you seem to be struggling tonight.
I would say one of the problems is that, while we’ve had NFL talent on our team for years, we’ve never had it at the position that matters most: QB. Until we have an elite QB, we won’t win a conference title. Name me a school that has ever won the PAC12 without a great QB.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Is it wrong that my heart and mind have already moved over to the Basketball in the forum Basketball (Men) 7 years, 9 months ago
My heart and mind never left basketball. Maybe that’s why I don’t take the football losses as hard as some others.
I think we’ll be mediocre this year. But the next two years, watch out*.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Targeting calls in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
There needs to be two types of helmet-to-helmet fouls: One called targeting, one called helmet-to-helmet tackle.
The helmet-to-helmet tackle is the one where the tackler is trying to go low and make a proper tackle, but the player with the ball is in the process of falling or sliding or lowering his own head which puts his helmet at the level of…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic What happened? in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
1. QB came back too soon. Isn’t healthy.
2. ASU defense suddenly figured it out. Excluding the garbage time TD, they’ve allowed something like 3 points in their last 6 quarters. -

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Utah keys to a win?? in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
Great analysis up above by everyone, but maybe we’re overthinking it a bit. Like almost every football game between two opponents who don’t have a great talent disparity, it will most likely come down to turnovers.
Turnover margin, and perhaps red zone efficiency, are pretty much the keys to a Utah win every week regardless of opponent.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic NBA is really unwatchable basketball. in the forum NBA 7 years, 9 months ago
Yeah every year I find myself getting all excited for the NBA season. I eagerly turn on the first game of the year…and after 5 minutes I put “The Godfather” or something like that on.
I guess my soul craves some basketball, so I turn on the first NBA game I can find…and figure out my soul still craves some basketball.
College hoops finally…[Read more]

Huh?
In a 2 point conversion, you have one chance to gain 3 yards (=3 yards per play).
In overtime, you have three chances to gain 10 yards (=3.33 yards per play). And in overtime, assuming you were successful on your first three chances, you have to execute the same scenario at least one more time to actually get to the endzone!
Going for 2…[Read more]

Let’s have whoever our QB is keep this in his hand warmer pocket:
That wouldn’t be too cumbersome, would it?

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic remember when we used to win conference championships? in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
Let’s take this logic a step further. If we could just get into a high school conference, we’d win national championships every year!

Last year we were picked 8th and finished 4th. Media is always underselling Utah and Larry.
Really looking forward to basketball season!

Honestly I don’t think we win this game regardless if we’re healthy or not. I would say if the injured guys aren’t totally 100%, hold them out for another week.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Wow, reading some of the comments on this board is embarrassing in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
Eh, fans will be fans. There’s a saying in high-level sports: “Not too high when you win, not too low when you lose.” But that only applies to athletes, not fans. We overreact…in both directions.
Bottom line is, I don’t think Utah is a very good team, honestly. And that’s not on just one player. It’s just that our schedule up until last night…[Read more]

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic Seems we are escaping the pocket early to ensure their ends can get us easily. in the forum Football 7 years, 9 months ago
I hate to be that guy, but unfortunately what turned the first half on its head was two horrible officiating decisions back to back. First, the chop block call which was absolutely wrong (even the Stanford homer announcers said so), and then the no-call on Gay getting run into on the missed FG (it doesn’t matter if he “sold it” or not – you can’t…[Read more]
