Sorry but I don’t get this line of thinking. Cam is a top-5-of-all-time-type QB at Utah. I want him playing for my team every minute I can get.

He’ll be gone soon enough regardless (that’s the way of things in college sports). But if he has eligibility and the desire is there, I want him back and I want him starting. The future can wait.

I haven’t seen a lot of Cam hate. I’ve seen a lot of criticism. Hate and criticism are not the same thing. I criticize my coworkers sometimes, and sometimes they criticize me, but that doesn’t mean we hate each other.

Reports are he’s favoring his ankle, even in warmups. If he does go, he’s going to be confined to the pocket all night. If we can get pressure on him (not a sure thing given the quality of their o-line), he’s going to go down a lot.

The key qualifier being “IF Rising can make those throws”. The past two weeks he hasn’t.

Any Oregon fan who makes that excuse is an idiot. We are missing multiple starters as well (Kuithe, Filinger).

That was actually pretty fun to watch. #16 OU got beaten like a third wife, losing by 50 (!!!) points. To put that scoring in context, Utah averaged 3.1 points per minute. Utah attempted 82 field goals (over 2 per minute) and shot 55% on them. Utah attempted 40 3s (1 per minute). Incredible stuff.

FYI after last night, Utah is up to #63 in KenPom. That’s 6th in the conference. Nothing to write home about, but this team may be better than the experts thought.

He does look much improved, but not tonight. His shot was off tonight. Carlson singlehandedly won that game for us.

Also, Tarlac got his first minutes of the year. He’s a real one – he’s gonna be good.
