At the risk of being a downer, I don’t think we’re going to see any football past about week 5. So Utah could be in a very nice spot around that time.

I feel like if they don’t nickname their fanbase the Krakheads, that will be a missed opportunity.

I don’t care about political messaging, so that’s not a factor for me. But I’ve got the EPL back, so no need to watch the NBA.

Too bad the name “Trash Pandas” is already taken…I own one of their hats. It’s insanely amazing.

Would a fighter pilot or co-pilot ever say, “we’re getting low on gas.”
My dad was a Navy fighter pilot. He once confirmed to me that they would never actually say this.
Instead, they would say “we’re getting f—ing low on f—ing gas.”

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic College Football possibly moved to Spring? in the forum Football 5 years ago
As teams and their opponents have positive cases come up, they will be forced into quarantine. There will be a lot of cancelled, postponed, and rescheduled games. I’d bet by the end of the year most teams will have played 3 or 4 games. There won’t be a CFP because there won’t be enough data on everyone. But there will be bowl games, and I bet they…[Read more]

There are two other reasons why it’s important to slow the spread:
1. To buy time to learn more about the virus and how to treat it. Remember, even if there’s capacity at your local hospital, once you’re in the hospital the mortality rate is still 88%. Increasing survival rates is not solely a function of available beds.
2. The virus appears to…[Read more]

CFB has to happen. Not having it will not just spell the demise of some athletic departments, it will actually end some universities. There’s no way it will not happen.

GameForAnyFuss replied to the topic DeAndre Yedlin may stop playing for USMNT in the forum Professional Sports 5 years ago
As a die-hard soccer/USMNT fan:
I think a lot of this is being driven by money. DeAndre makes a pittance with the USMNT compared to his club contract with Newcastle. When you’re already playing physically-demanding club ball 10 months out of the year, why would you want to play for your national team the other 2 months for no money?
While…[Read more]

The problem is, it will take far longer to achieve herd immunity through population infection than through a vaccine.
Sweden (where everything stayed open) recently did a random population sampling and found that less than 4% of their population has had COVID since the outbreak began. That’s a far cry from the ~80% needed to achieve herd…[Read more]
