For me – I think this season depends mostly on Cam Rising’s health and ability to do what he does best. Cam may not need to run as much as he has in the past, but he needs to be a threat to run. He is at his best when he can run and keep the defense honest.

I thought that he was very good watching him play last season at Corner Canyon. He is a baller, very competitive, smart and athletic. I have no idea when his surgery will take place. Yep, most people did not know that OJ was ready to come to Utah until the last minute when USC swept in.

It seems to me that any portal guys we pick up this late will not likely be starters this season. We, of course are looking for a QB and you know he will not be a starter unless there are injuries. I “think” that any portal guys we pick up will be for depth at this point. It would be hard to come in this summer and become a starter.

I doubt they would risk him practicing right now. However, everything I hear (including family) is that he is ready to play and is planning on playing in 2024.

Cam Rising and Kincaid were studs in that game. (Kuithe had just been injured two weeks previous.) Cam led us down the field for the final TD and made a beautiful play for the two-point conversion. Cam Rising is a difference maker, and I think Kuithe will be again.

I think we will be fine at tight end and receiver. I am not sure about the offensive line. We may be okay, but it seems to take 4-6 weeks into the season before the offensive line is hitting on all cylinders.

This is a nice article about our linebackers. We should still be strong at linebacker as long as we can avoid season ending injuries. It sounds like Foutu will be the guy to replace Damuni.

It sounds like Cam RIsing is making a big difference with the offense, which doesn’t surprise me in the least. He sounds healthy, excited and ready to play. I can’t wait to see him at the helm again.

I completely agree on Covey. When he hangs it up, we need to get him on staff. He wants to be a coach. Nop better place than here with us.
