Nice article about Jackson being moved to running back. I suspect this may be a permanent move as long as Rising stays healthy this year. I think Johnson is our QB of the future.

ProudUte started the topic Kuithe interview today in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Seems fairly positive.
Felt like he tore it when he made the cut. He doesn’t think it had anything to do with the hit. He knew he tore it as soon as it happened.
Yeah, I got hurt and it sucks but I am still alive.
He acts like this was meant to be. He is just trying to embrace the moment. It’s a bump in the road and now he needs to decide…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Would you return to Utah if you were Kuithe? in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
I certainly do not know everything he does nor do I understand what and when he wants to do things. So, this is only my opinion and I am not suggesting what he SHOULD do.
Me personally, I would stay because there is no way he will be healthy for the Combine or even pro day. I think he helps his NFL draft status if he stays.
In the end _ I want…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Kuithe's injury hurts in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
However, every team has key injuries this time of year. I am optimistic that others will step up and we will be fine. Stars are often made when someone gets injured and the next guy steps up. Remember that guy named Tom Brady. Someone has an opportunity to shine.

ProudUte started the topic KW's presser today in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Handle their business in Tempe. The defense against the run was excellent. That was the difference in the game.
The offense was balanced and we had some big plays.
Special teams was so-so.
Kuithe is lost for the season. He is a huge part of what we do. Some other guys need to step up. He is a great leader. We will miss him. If Kuithe…[Read more] -

Or, do they just bring in the next man and continue with the same offensive scheme?

ProudUte started the topic It's a new day in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Last night was odd. We won and beat the spread, but somehow it didn’t feel great. On top of that, we lost a great player for the season. All that being said, today is a new day.
For some reason, I feel good about our game next week. Somebody has to step up and get the targets and catches Kuithe has had. Maybe a new star will emerge. I…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic We won and that's good in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Other good things include:
Great D in the 1st half.
Sacks were great.
Rising looked sharp in the first half.
Bad things:
Kuithe injury is a huge blow to this team. Very sad for him.
Special teams kickoff coverage is terrible.
Red zone offense was a joke.
Too many dropped balls by the receivers.
Rushing offense against a terrible D did…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Tavion did travel BUT in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
OnlyU only reported that he knew that he traveled with the team. There are photos showing him getting on the plane. So, yes he did travel.
Will he start or play? Rumors are floating around that he may not because of an issue with his attitude. I am only reporting this because of a post made last night suggesting he would not play tonight.

ProudUte started the topic Who on this Utah football team will be the best NFL players in 5-10 years? in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
For me – the three most likely are: Phillips, Bishop, and Barton.
I think Kuithe and Kincaid will be playing in the NFL, but will not likely be stars IMO. There are likely 6-8 other guys who will make NFL teams. -
ProudUte started the topic Scalley got new contract for 1.4 Million per year according to ESPN in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Also, there is a big buyout if a new coach comes in and picks a new DC. I suspect that Scalley is the man they are grooming for the job when KW retires.

ProudUte started the topic Cam Rising interview notes in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
Ready and excited for PAC12 play.
Was asked about the slow start. The 3-3-5 defense with their stunts was hard to get used to. In the second quarter, he said they started to relax. The reverse to Dixon started things going.
He was asked about getting the wide receivers involved. Cam said, whoever is open will get the ball. In spite of what…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic What I would like to see Saturday night in Tempe in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
A win of course, but on top of that:
1. The offense starts off strong and scores 14 points in the 1st quarter.
2. Tavion runs for 150 yards. He needs to get his mojo back.
3. The defense stops the ASU running game and forces them to pass.
4. No special team mistakes.
Go Utes!!!

ProudUte started the topic Who is Dallin Holker? in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
As was posted below. Dallin Holker is leaving BYU effective immediately. He cannot enter the transfer portal until December 5th when it opens for 45 days. So why is he quitting now? If he plays 4 or fewer games – he can count this as a redshirt year and still have two years of eligibility remaining.
Holker was the Utah 5A MVP in 2017 when he…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Things we have not seen in 2022 – that I would like to see in the forum Football 2 years, 10 months ago
1. Kuithe running the ball. He has proved that he is a great runner. I suspect we are saving this for conference games.
2. Wildcat package. We have not done this much since 2008. I think it is a great package because you gain a blocker. I would like to see Jackson run it. I have my doubts about us running this much.
3 More blitzing. The…[Read more] -

Laughed and said they hadn’t lost a PAC12 game
They started slow on Saturday because of some communication issues and some drops, etc.
He said they felt like they were moving in slow motion and making mistakes. There were some protection mistakes. Coach Whit came into their sideline huddle and got them motivated. Once they scored the first TD…[Read more] -

I guess this means the bets are coming in for ASU. That surprises me since the firing of Herm. I would think the betting would go the other way.
